@@freeyourmind6242 Yeah, I had the same problem. You can emulate any Windows OS version on your Mac. Keeps saying it's missing an executable, might be malicious. (Mac will not download Malware, so that is why it's missing the executable. Remember if Mac won't run it, don't try to force it, means something is up.) Play on Mac, Winebottler, and Wineskins all said the same thing. I found something better. I use GODOT with the Hterrain plugin and use open ocean with it, which is also for GODOT. Having it automatically texture the terrain is really cool. You could technically sculpt a terrain in Blender or something, export it as a heightmap and get a good starting point for texture painting.

Actually the design style and paradigm for TerreSculptor was Autodesk Max and Photoshop. That is why the software interface is Max-like in layout, and it effectively treats a heightmap as a floating-point grayscale image like Photoshop would a 15-bit image using filters.

@daveg44174 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can make pretty much any shape terrain that you want. You can also use the Flood Level modifier to change the amount of land versus water. There are other modifiers such as Bias/Gain/Level and Equalize that can also be used for modifying water levels. PNG-16-bit files work best for importing into Unreal Engine and Unity.

This doesn't seem nearly as advanced as Terragen. I could do far more many years ago with terragen ~0.84 than this. Terragen is at 4.0 at least now. Fast renderer, volumetics, micro displacement, DoF, motion blur, etc., almost 20 years ago. Terragen is mostly for realistic vfx on scales from planetary to micro, while this seems to be geared towards games a few hundred miles square at most. Then again, I could be wrong.
