Press and hold the B button as you approach the river. Release the B button just before you get to the top. Another way to think of it is to release the B button as the pole is going from 11 o clock to 12 o clock

In Japan this game had Donald Duck. The Japanese company that made the game, Kemco, didn't have the rights for Donald Duck outside of Japan, so they secured the rights for Snoopy and just remade all the sprites so they featured Snoopy instead of Donald Duck.

Fun Fact: This originally was a Donald Duck game for the Famicom, which was published by Kemco. However, Capcom at the time held the rights to publish and create all Disney games on consoles, so rather than making a deal with Capcom like Hudson Soft did with Mickey Mousecapade, Kemco decided to get the license to Snoopy from United Features Syndicate (the copyright owner of Peanuts at the time), and retooled it as "Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular". This also happened with Bugs Bunny's Crazy Castle. It originally was a Roger Rabbit game for the Famicom Disk System, but was retooled as a Bugs Bunny game due to copyright. Another lesser known secret about this game, is that sprites for Charlie Brown can be found inside the ROM, but are never used. It seems Charlie Brown was originally going to be used as the referee before the developers decided to swap him out with Woodstock instead.

I found this game, along with an old NES, and Super Mario Bros. Buried in the woods on my neighbors property a long time ago. We were both kids, and happened to find a controller sticking out of the ground. A couple hours later, we had found a console and about 4 games, however the only thing we were able to salvage was Snoopy 😂 everything else was unsavable after being buried in the wet ground for 25 years. So this game takes a special place in my heart, my very first actual buried treasure. Love to see it being played hahaha

Thanks for telling me how to do the pole vault again. I did it on the first try after you said to hold B and release near top. My son was like seriously. He’s 12 and playing it with me. Great times.

I distinctly remember this. As I kid I couldnt figure out how to play it so I kept doing it over and over until I got silly good at all the games. It was like my mission.

I used to watch my brothers play SNES and NES games all the time! Earthbound, Donkey Kong Country, Monopoly, Power Rangers, Castlevania, Dr. Mario, MK, Ninja Turtles, legend of Zelda, Bubble Bobble, Duck Hunt and way way more! This is really bringing me back. Please keep playing more games on the NES and SNES!

Schultz is my childhood hero but ti be real, as long as everyone was in-character he didn't seem to worry about high quality on brand deals. Also he was born in like the late 20s, doubt he could really spot issues in video games.
