He didnt accidentally click bankrupt. Ubisoft added an idle timer so if you go afk slightly too long it fast forwards your turn and then bankrupts you. Rewatch the end of last episode, it didn't bankrupt, it rolled, landed on chance, advanced to railroad, paid rent, THEN bankrupted in the span of like 5 seconds. They had taken like 2 or 3 minutes to do the outtro, pause a bit, then intro the next episode and uplay was like "Guess happytarts left, better end this quick." An unbelievably stupid addition to private matches.

monopoly nerd here, back with analysis ARIN: just barely ahead in a tie for first. highest upward mobility. I would mortgage magentas and build up on DBlue (they really spike at 2 houses as opposed to 3). his trade with Benito wasn't nearly as in his favor as he thinks, I would take LBlue over magenta any day of the week. DAN: idk buddy, you really got raked over with how much you spent on Red2. So, each side of the board has a flat house cost, with the first set being innately worth less than the second. Red, as the "low set" (compared to yellow) costs the same to build up with less yield. If you want to rush red, you have to have the capital to get it at least to 2 houses. Dan has no other investments right now (other than a single railroad) so his growth plan is currently nickle and diming with single Red houses and GO, and spoiler: everyone gets GO money. BENITO: slightly behind Arin but huge potential. If they get the missing pieces to their sets, they're gonna run away with this game. Dan was hootin' and hollering over his Orange1 x Red1 trade, but he got *scammed*. Orange is, in a perfectly average game of monopoly, the most powerful set. Red is weak early game for the reasons i already outlined. Benito also has nearly finished LBlue, which is the best bootstrap set (outside of railroads). To Benito, Arin and Dan are highly volatile pickings, and Kevina is a money piñata. KEVINA: Unbelievably bad position right now off the back of a garbage first lap around the board- must make good deals to get ahead. Yellow set is almost done and they've got some decent trade options on a surface level, but nothing any of the other players would want for the strategies I'd play given their hands. Finish yellow and we'll talk, but they're in a similar position to Dan: their only build set option is too pricey given their lack of upward mobility.

As another monopoly nerd in the comments, I agree with this assessment, when Dan traded his orange to Benito for a Red, I was quite frankly disappointed. In a normal game of monopoly red is the second or third WORST monopolies to have, even brown is better. Though Arin is looking very solid I might say Benito is looking the best.

I've always had a slight desire to become better at Monopoly for no particular reason. Never really had a desire to go read up on strategies and whatnot. Enter [ninjaxcad], who has done a tremendous job outlining the decision-making of Arin and Dan (as well as the AI). I have learned more reading the analyses of the GG games, because they are all applying Monopoly strategy to ongoing games. No better way to learn than to read something talking about something you just watched, and is ongoing. You have become the lazy-man's way of learning more, and I continue to applaud you for that. Other than that, watching GG play confirms, if anything, at least I'm not as bad as them.

Speed Dice is fun. You start with $2500. After one lap around the board, you get a third (red) die that adds 1-3, a car icon, or a monopoly guy icon. The car means you can choose to move for the number on one of the two white dice or their total. For example, roll a 4 and a 5 and you can choose to move 4 spaces, 5 spaces, or 9 spaces. Rolling the monopoly guy will move you to the first available property past the number you rolled on the white dice. After all properties are owned, it will move you to the first property not owned by yourself after the number you rolled on the white dice. If you roll three 1s, you can move anywhere on the board.

@@penguinstarlette4028 Adds a third die that they roll with that has a 1, 2, 3, bus, and 2x Mr. Monopoly faces. A number simply adds to the original dice, but rolling triples allows you to move to a chosen space on the board. The bus face allows you to select to move one or both of the original dice you rolled. The Mr. Monopoly face forces you to move to the next unowned property after your current turn OR the next OWNED property if there are no more unowned properties on the board. Mixes up the usual property heat map and adds a chance at movement strategy and forced confrontation. Also I think you start with more money?

This game's aesthetics are great for just a monopoly game. But they fucked up almost everything else. Like how you can only select one house rule at the time. Why? It makes no sense.

ok so big tip: I personally NEVER buy park place or boardwalk because they are way too expensive and the amount of times people land on them isnt enough (think about that one game where those two went un-purchased for SO long because neither of you landed on it). Instead i always let my opponents think its a good investment then i bankrupt them with another property after they sunk all their money into hotels on the two properties thinking they will get rich fast (when in reality..) It always good to stick to one strategy not multiple. Go for corners like yellow and green or red and orange. Another strategy is to go for what i like to call the "jail gauntlet" which is the magenta/orange side so anytime people land on the "go to jail" they have to run your gauntlet again to make it to the "safe" spaces on the top of the board. This side technically only has 3 safe spaces along it one of which is a railroad and another the electric company utility so if you snag these up as well then you'll keep your friends on their toes. then the third space is a community chest which is usually something positive toward the player but the community chest has a few big bad cards that no one wants to get. Railroads are not a horrible strategy as long as you play it right because they do compound the rent for each extra railroad you have up to 400 big ones but lots of people think they are a gold mine so everyone loves the railroads. stick in the shadows and swipe up those coloured properties while people battle it out for the railroads. i have found the AI to be very stupid in this game.. maybe not this version though. I have played the Wii version for a while and at one point i offered EVERYTHING i had to an AI for a single property and they still turned it down so its never guaranteed the AI will like your trade even if its a beneficial one toward them I think you guys have discovered that the utilities are really only good to hold onto for something to mortgage.. but i can suggest to only acquire them through a trade or from bankrupting another player. they are not worth spending money on. If you pick a strategy and follow it through you'll get to a point in the game where all you have to do is sit in jail and collect rent. which also reminds me.. ALWAYS ROLL YOUR 3 ROLLS in jail especially if youre gunna pay the bail anyway. You still collect rent and can make trades from jail and you might end up rolling a double which saves you 50 bucks so theres almost no downside to it unless you absolutely need to go get your payday which you'll inevitably receive anyway. These tips are for anyone that likes monopoly. i have used these strategies myself and have won against my buddies who are also rather good at the game. Oh one last thing.. i really like having the house rule "land on go double" which means youll get 400 for landing on go instead of just 200. but youll still get your normal 200 for passing go anyway. Ive seen you guys land on go so many times and it hurt me to watch just 200 pop up on the screen when you could have made an extra 200 and add to the economy of the game. remember you dont get rich unless your opponents are already rich.
