RUST: Advanced Shooting Floor/Peekdowns - FREEHAND PEEKS PART 1

An EASY, FOOLPROOF method:
Freehanded shooting floor peekdowns, requiring no doors.
They connect aesthetically and cheaply to any base (none of that hideous widegap-buildback), though can also be used with external TCs.
This video shows only the basic offset method which provides, mostly, for off-center peeks.
The goal was to present the basic method, and show what you can do using only that method.
In the next videos of the series I'll show more footprint-specific solutions.

IF THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU:
1) If you can't place the corner square (my first example) try doing the same except turning right, instead of left, from the freehanded square.
2) UNEVEN TERRAIN:
This method will work great if terrain is even, or if your buildout goes towards lower terrain.
IF, however, you have to place the freehanded square on a large upwards slope or significantly higher terrain than the rest of the base, sometimes it'll be a bit too close to the base to work, and you'll have to actually take a little step forward instead of a tiny step back.
I'm sure you'll figure it out.
Much Love!

MUCH appreciated for this tutorial man. I've had several bases that CLAIM to cost 30+ rockets to raid etc, just to log on and find it's all gone bc someone simply climbed, and pushed their way through the roof peaks so on, so forth. Those peak downs are nasty looking bro. Can't wait to incorporate these ideas... Thanks again! Keep up the great work.

The fact that they can connect back to the main base and you don’t need no multi tc is so meta for solo bases and even larger bases when you don’t want to many multi tc. I love these peaks! keep up the good work :D

Thanks so much, this is really cool. I never liked the classic open door peaks, but they were an easy solution. I'm definitely going to be playing around with this a lot. I hope there is a way to make something like this on top of a tower, because I could never figure out a tower that I could be happy with, so I would rarely end up building one and just have an open roof in most of my base designs.

i realy like that, especaly becaus you came up with a method rather than freehanding them! I like to experiment with freehand a lot, and while researching i came across a base type mostly known as pinners freehand 2x2 i belife. I adapted the design for my self, it allowes for an awesome old school bunker, jet i never am able to reliably execute it in a real whipe, especaly without a starter base. So having this step by step build gide is realy good for the usability of the peaks is what i am trying to say.
