Thanks for the comment. Yes, a surprising number of games that are only available for the Mega Drive / Genesis. In addition, another thing that surprises is that not all games are available as a digital download, but only as a physical "real player" boxed version.

Thanks for the comment. It was a bit of a long video, but during the year there have been so many games for Mega Drive/Genesis. I don't know if I should make two videos a year, but you don't have to watch it all at once. 😉

Street fighter alpha Castelvania sotn Resident evil

Thanks for the comment. Many good games are coming to Mega Drive/Genesis. Castlevania and Resident Evil are in this video, Street Fighter Alpha is not, because there hasn't been a new update for it in the last year, at least I couldn't find it anywhere.

@@retrogamingdino I hope they will continue working on that SFA port as it looks quite impressive so far with those giant character sprites and all those animation frames at decent speed. Though I'm not that convinced about the sound quality, especially the samples sound not much better than those in the original SSF2 port in terms of scratchiness. I wonder why this still is a thing in recent / homebrew releases, despite nowadays many others have proven that you can have clear samples, even on 3 or 4 (virtual) channels for SFX in an action game.

At least it's not visible in the store... maybe you have to find it in one of the boxes in the game. 😜😅

Love the list of games, but.... let's be realistic here... Why not just call "Space Hunter" something like... I dunno... MegaMetroid? They could have at least changed up the doors. Opening artwork of the girl is beautiful, and I'm sure the game is good, but that's because Metroid is good. There's absolutely nothing new here. It's just a Super Metroid "clone".

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, looks way too similar to Super Metroid. What does Nintendo think about it? There was also news about that on Timeextension's website: www.timeextension.com/news/2024/03/mega-drive-genesis-metroid-port-becomes-space-hunter. On the other hand, the game is still an early development version that can still change.
