Pro tip on the mega zord fights, the game doesn't tell you this but if you double tap up on the D-pad or stick and then hold it you will run towards the boss. Also comboing your punches between your left and right fist will let you sorta stun the boss and string a bunch of punches together 8:46

Where you pick which ranger you wanted to play as each mission, but all the Rangers go in together and fight like the Guardians and they have the ultimate team moved and stuff. I really enjoyed my time with Rita's Rewind, but It feels quite sluggish and unresponsive coming from Shredder's Revenge. - The Up+Square air attack plain doesn't work 50% or the time. - There is a minor cooldown after dodging, meaning you can't perform consecutive dodges, which opens you up to cheap shots too often. - I feel like the speed you can attack after collecting the lighting bolt power-up should be the default attack speed. I feel like combat happens at 66% the right speed. - Easy mode is not easy, and feels more like Normal mode, but the other difficulties I've tried feel well balanced. The difficulty spikes during the Zord levels, for example, are nuts, and final boss is infuriating. - Screen pollution. My God, sometimes there is just WAY too much going on on-screen it's obnoxious, and very hard to enjoy (those "WARNING" messages need to go!) - Can I reduce the screen shake, please??? Or better yet, turn it off? If there are any devs reading, you've made an incredible game, but I feel like some refinements to the controls and combat are needed, as well as adjustments to easy mode and some QoL fixes. I'd also like to be able to remap the Up+Square air attack to Square+Cross, as that feels more intuitive, and it always worked correctly in Shredder's Revenge. Rita's Rewind is a good game, but not a great game. Shredder's Revenge reigns supreme still.

hey so quick tip for people going to buy the game, what the game doesnt tell you is that depending on what difficulty you choose, which you cant change once you select it might i add. but you have a certain number of retries depending on the difficulty, i chose normal and right when i was on the final boss i died and then i realized i had 0 continues left and the game made me delete my save file, so if you want a laid back expirience with not as much punishment, please choose easy

Rita’s Rewind plentiful “varied gameplay levels” is the next big step for EVERY genre of 2d action games, not just beat em ups. - an autoscrolling hoverboard/attack snowmobiles/hovercraft side scrolling level or 3 … - a horizontal shmup helicopter level - A sprite scaling “chase level” or “racing level” or “rail shooter” level. This sort of varied gameplay in beat em ups and several others styles of 2d platformers, run’n’gun or certain metroidvanias …. …. It’s gonna be a huge game changing development, and “new standard” for old school gameplay. Can’t wait for other even more timeless IP’s to receive this treatment and take advantage of this new engine !

Of course the fundamental problem with this genre of video game is that we have already seen all this done before and objectively done better. Nostalgia is great but it can’t just be about the nostalgia either. That being said, this game does indeed look awesome and it’s so nice seeing the era it comes from getting the love that it so rightfully deserves. Really hoping for a sequel

Shredders Revenge has SO much freedom in combat. Infinite combos, air juggles, multiple specials, I-frames when dodging, survival mode, and just an overall fluidity that’s unmatched. This has none of that. This ain’t it for me.

It’s fun to play co-op. But unfortunately on PlayStation you’re not gonna play online co-op from beginning to end. It’ll eventually crash. I had it happen 4 times on day one. Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

You think they will make some sequel games? The game company could explore the later seasons of Power Rangers. A constant library to use for lore and Fandom. Another angle for a sequel use the Battle for the Grid storyline, that way rangers from all mythos could make an appearance and be playable.

Looks a little stiff and I was expecting the zords to get together at the end of the chase but a lengthy punchout challenge to finish the enemy doesn't sound like the exciting climax you should be getting at that point. And the control switching sounds like Pacific Rim where you need a psychic/genetic connection to pilot the giant mech, but for real. Sounds needlessly challenging and should probably not be there or should be very short. Like one successful punch triggering the sword, then making the sword interactive but not failable.

I just played it and I a little mixed. For fans of the original show, it has a lot of cool ideas and nostalgia porn. But I’m not a fan of all aspects. Falcon said he liked the zord forward scrolling levels. I played solo and found some of them to be stupidly difficult and messy. Hard to see what is even happening. Also, I hate when a game doesn’t feel responsive, and the dodge button does not feel like it responds to my every input. Like a weird lag, and the dodge is crucial in most fights. It’s also really short. I’d say wait for a sale, but it’s worth checking out if you grew up with these particular rangers.

Each Power Ranger has a weapon, it should have been a usable item. Having to beat the game to Unlock Tommy(Green Ranger), should open up MORE levels. Hopefully, that will be addressed in future DLC(Hopefully Lord Zed and White Ranger stuff, Ivan Ooze maybe). You're 100% correct, each Power Ranger does not feel like an individual like each of the TMNT in their game. There's also A LOT less moves you can perform. I would give it a 7/10 for now, and hopefully with fleshed out DLC, it can go up to a 9/10.
