@@ikmnification5737 There were some utilities released that were stored on those smaller PS2 CD Disks. I believe that was Sony's main reason for creating them, not really for games, but for software and other utilities. I once bought a MadCatz controller to replace the OC when it stopped working that had a pretty crazy fast turbo button. I still get goosebumps every time i hear that sound, it is genius, Gameboy got close, but nobody can beat the PS1 boot up sound. P.S. One day i lost my mind when i saw the Glove controller, begged my parents to buy it and it was one of the coolest and most useless things ever at the same time. Very hard to control regular games with it, but you looked like a total badass playing with it, besides giving you the living dream of having a scifi glove that controlled a mech. I must say it was pretty good for one thing and that's playing flight and mech sims, i.e. Ace Combat 2, Armored Core, Zone of Enders 2nd runner etc. Took some time to get used to it, but had tons of fun playing with it.

makes my ears perk up everytime I hear it, so many good memories :) I have an original console but tend to emulate these days without a good old CRT TV in my house.

I really wish I kept a lot of the old PlayStation magazines with the demo disc , as a kid growing up in the 90’s those magazines were the only way to keep up to date on the new exciting videos games & news . Once a month with a whole selection of games , even though water down some of em were really fun and was just good enough to play without even having the fun game . Some of em had multiple player and even though you can only do one stage and like a selection of cars / fighters or whatever , it was enough to satisfy an 6 year old kid
