Hello Everybody!! This is GamerGar and welcome to another 100 Day Stardew Valley challenge. For the purposes of this challenge we will be playing 100 in game days in Stardew Valley but cannot leave the farm whatsoever.
The primary goal is to make as much money as possible, lets see how much money we can make without leaving the farm!

welcome to the lonely life! I'm on year 8 in a hermit on a hill top farm- I let myself leave once a year, so I have been able to do a bunch of upgrades and shopping, but it's still a fun challenge. Loving your take on this!

per my own rules - I can leave one day per calendar year. It doesn't have to be the same day each year so in year 2, I dropped my axe off on winter 17 (to also hit the night market), and then my year 3 trip was in the spring and I picked up the axe then

Hi ARD Empire. Yes 112 days sounds good to me as well. hmm my favourite Stardew valley challenge. That's a very tough question. I really enjoyed doing the 100 Days as a florist and also 100 days as a Barista. So many challenges, so hard to choose lol

I did a similar challenge a little while ago, however I chose the Four Corners Farm because a) you get the nodes and b) you get the special forest farm weeds that will always drop mixed seeds. I also would only break ores on good luck days. I did allow myself to go grab the fishing rod, which not only did me not go crazy, but also gave me access to iron through the recycling machine.

The 4 corners farm seems to be a very popular choice among people ho have commended so far. At this stage I might re do the challenge on the 4 corners farm just to see how well I can do :D

Hi Natasha :D Yes after all of the comments I think ill switch over to a 1 year format with Stardew and play out the whole of Winter. I have a copy of Sun Heaven thank to Wickedy. I haven't actually played it yet but its in my Steam library and I just might do a challenge with it one day for sure :D

I think that while selling all your have at the end of the season is pretty satisfying, trying to gun for 15,000g earned would probably be more profitable in the long term, since you'll unlock the Bat/Mushroom cave. It would increase your sources of income. As well, making a charcoal kiln would also be really profitable since coal sells for way more than the wood it takes to make one, and the coal would be useful.

Hai GamerGar, Thanks for all the love and energy in making the 100 day videos. I know they take quite the effort to make and I appreciate it. I would love to see 112 day challenges going forward as it would feel more complete seeing an entire year rather than stopping half way through winter. You could name it I played SDV for one year ... or something like that. An idea I had for a new challenge is doing a wheel of chance run. Every major decision or all decisions are determined by a wheel spin. The wheel outcomes can either last one season or the entire challenge. For example, one wheel can be are you allowed to use/visit the backwoods area / secret woods / beach / desert/ local mines / etc for a season or the run? Can you sell crops this season? You could also do number wheels for maximum allowed of each animal with values ranging from 1-12. You can also let a wheel determine how much money you must make for the run. You can also respin the ones you decided would be for a season and see if you can get a different outcome for the new season. For example, if you spun and weren't allowed to use the secret woods for summer you would spin that wheel again and see if you would be allowed to utilize the secret woods for fall. Maybe don't show every wheel spin but rather show a few of the more interesting spins so it doesn't become to gimmicky / distracting and such and list the outcomes of the spins on a scene that we can review for a few seconds. I think this would also make for a great recurring series as well with either new wheels or adjusted values to make it easier/harder. Hope this sparks a new idea for you and keep up the great work.

Yay! 😊 You did my challenge. You did wonderful with it. When I did this challenge, I played 1 or 2 years before I allowed my character to leave the farm. The first year I left, I only went into back woods, bus stop and forest once a week Then after a year or two, I decided to leave farm and go to town and or events once a season. Things really started to pick up once I had a fishing rod and a better variety of seeds and items. I would love for your challenge format to switch to 1 year. It makes more sense with a game that has seasons and years I think. Anyway thanks for taking on the challenge I suggested. Have a great day!

Since you asked for some more 100 (or 112) day challenges, here's some I can think of (no clue if they've already been suggested before or are already in the works) 1. 100/112 days but can only sell through your trash can - can't use shipping bin, can't sell to vendors, can only 'sell' items by trashing them in an upgraded trash can. you can complete quests for money which will allow you to get the first trashcan upgrade. i've done this challenge myself but went all the way to perfection (saving shipping 1 of each item for the very end and only shipped the 100 island ingredients for caroline's special order quest but got rid of any 'illegal' money by buying seeds equal to the additional money gotten from shipping and then tossed those in some water), and found it pretty fun myself 2. 100/112 days as a textile maker - main source of income is selling cloth and wool, could also install mods that add in more textile options (? i know ppja crops and machines includes cotton as a crop, which can be processed into thread, and that same mod also has some other loom products such as golden thread. bfav farm animals could also be an option if it still works since from memory it adds in black sheep (which produce black wool which turns into black cloth) and silk worms (which can produce silk). not sure if there's any other mods that would expand the stardew valley textile world). you could also split this into sheep farming and rabbit farming, but those would have different vibes 3. 100/112 days as a butcher - main source of income being the raising, butchering, and selling of animals (this would require the use of the animal husbandry mod, and i totally get that the idea of butchering your farm animals isn't for everyone) 4. 100/112 days as a spelunker - can only sell items found in the mines (or were crafted entirely from items found in the mines) (i've done a variation of this myself, although i gave myself some leeway and allowed myself to accumulate dinos for dino eggs and mayo and crystalariums to dupe diamonds). 5. 100/112 days as Persephone - can only sell items associated with the Greek goddess Persephone (flowers, gemstones, and pomegrantes are what come to mind) (yet another one i've done a variation of myself, and undoubtly broke my own rules whilst playing, oops) 6. 100/112 days as a fruit farmer - can only sell unprocessed fruits 7. 100/112 days as a vegetable farmer - can only sell unprocessed vegetables 8. 100/112 days as a horticuluturist - can only sell seeds (would be a massive rush for farming level 9 to get a seed maker to make seeds with, but you could always give yourself one seed maker to start off with. you can sell tree seeds for a small amount (i believe acorns are the best money wise), and tea saplings and wild forage seeds would be another early money maker too for this) 9. 100/112 days as a pirate - can only make money through selling piratey things (??? this is something i'm wanting to do myself and am still figureing out just what a pirate themed playthrough would look like that is still fun and feasible enough for me to want to do it. so far i'm looking the income coming from gemstones, metal bars, tea saplings, mead, and any preserved stuff (like pickles, jams, etc.) but i'm not 100% on details for this one) 10. 100/112 days as a bounty hunter - can only make money through completing quests, and selling monster loot and equipment (such as tackle, rings, boots, and weapons). 11. 100/112 days without using any energy - goal is to make as much money as possible without having to use any energy, ever (i think the best strategy would be to reset the mines floor one until you get a crab that you can kill for a bomb so you can try to progress in the mines, get more bombs, and be able to clear space on your farm for coops (since gathering coops products don't cost energy to collect) or for tilling for crops with sprinklers eventually)

All the wood you stockpiled could be turned into coal in kilns. More preserve jars from excess resources.

I love this challenge and I loved seeing you play it. I do believe that you would have been able to make more money had you chosen the 4 corners farm, I have played that farm and in the top right quadrant you get the special weeds spawning daily (except for winter) and those guarantee you mixed seeds. So as long as you don’t scythe all the weeds you can get 3-5 mixed seeds each day. The mini quarry although not as good as the one on the hilltop is still alright. I hope that at some point in the future you get to play this challenge on the 4 corners farm.

You can get purple mushrooms more consistently from tapped mushroom trees if you harvest whatever mushroom is in the tapper on the tenth and twentieth of each season. If you do this, the purple mushroom will appear on the twelfth and twenty-second during spring and summer and the twenty-first in fall. And if you keep from harvesting the mushroom in the tapper when winter starts until the tenth or twentieth of that year, you can get a purple mushroom the first of spring.

I was watching this video again while I was on the treadmill and had a few thoughts. You might have had more fun on the Forest (more forage and mixed seeds), the Four-Corners (small quarry, more space and one area that spawns more mixed seed weeds ) or the Beach Farm (small area of forage, and crates that wash up). Also, the large rocks require a steal pick axe to break. If you are awake and its storming, lightning can strike, if you have lightning rods, they will attract the strike; however, with no lightning rods and tons of trees, your trees will be hit. I do love your dog's name 😊.

Hey Enne. It would be interesting to see how well you could do in the beach farm and compare it to other farm types to see which one is the best. I might do the same challenge but on different farm types in the future to see which one is superior :D

Poor GamerGar, no fishing, no kegs , no saplings... I liked it, bit did you enjoy it? Video idea: maybe you can do a challenge something like this: At the first day of the challenge, let the dice decide to what level you can upgrade your tools and fishing rod. One artisan product you're allowed to sell. One crop per season you're allowed to sell. Animal to keep. One bar to sell. And make the exception that you can sell one of everything so you can achieve perfection.

Hello Ca Sa, 100 Days as a Brewer. Sounds very interesting indeed. I shall add this idea to my list. Tea sapplings: Green Tea, Coffee bean: Coffee, Hops are extremely OP, combine them with lv 10 farming crops grow 10% faster and deluxe speed grow and you have a very large gold mine! :D

For future runs here's two ideas: Gold Rush - get to 1 million gold as fast as you can or how much gold can you make in one year. No energy run: one year in without using any energy. Goals could be money or completing CC/Joja.

I really want to see how 100 days on Meadowland farm would do, if you also get to go into Cindersap Forest, so you have some people to interact with. The challenge is to try to get to full hearts with all of those people somehow. I'd think one day out per year would be fine, and choosing which day would be the most beneficial would be cool to strategize. I'd personally throw in access to a fishing rod on day 2, if you didn't do anything else but just run there and get it and run back. Does this sound like a challenge you might try? Would you add any other challenge goals?

Hiya! You didnt get any steel or gold because the mining area on your farm syncs with your progress in the mines. I would like to see a challence without any processing machines, that you have to sell all your crops and animal products as they are like a real life farmer. You could use processing machines for gifts or the community center. I would also like to see one whole year in stead of 100 days. Thank you for this video!!

The ore's that spawn on your farm also change with your mining level so in theory he could get iron and gold on the farrm if he kept going and increased his mining level but not enough rocks spawned on the farm in 100 days to reach a high enough level

Hi Maggie Thanks so much for the feedback I have tried chef 2 times now and deleted the content because I wasnt happy with it and felt that I wasn't playing as a chef but as a regular farmer so I need a better road map our framework to make the challenge better. Once day I will have a 100 days as a chef and its gona be awesome :D Stranded on ginger island for a year is another project that ill eventually make :D Great minds think alike Maggie lol

For anybody who wants to make this challenge i suggest to let mlnster spawn in the farm because farm Goldens can drop mixed seed so you can get some extra seeds and drops from anothers monsters

Because you weren't carrying into next year, you should have cut down the mushroom trees on the last day of fall - it gives you a bunch of mushrooms

you make great videos, but one way you could improve is that you sometimes ramble, and catching that in editing and fixing it would improve the quality. when you got the mushroom tree, you said it can give you purple mushrooms around 10 times on the same day.

I think every farm type should have the special weeds that drop mixed seeds, I think they are only on the forest farm and I think the four corners farm

Forest and 4 corners have ones that are guaranteed to drop mixed seeds but they're still able to drop from any normal weeds on any of the farms

Im doing a similar challenge to this but I get more days each year. So I'm on year 4 so I was able to leave the farm 4 days, next year in year 5 I'll be able to leave the farm 5 days. It's a really fun challenge

I think there is a lot ill be able to do with Iron ores. I could potentially make kegs to process certain crops further, increasing money intake :D
