Great game, I can even appreciate the slow down now, played it loads as a kid with my big brother so holds so much nostalgia but I had fallen out of love with it years ago...but then that music starts😍

Some quality pick ups Steve. Great to see the gb/gba get some love too. Really nice additions. Double Dragon Advance is really good. Arguably the best home port of DD believe it or not. Unfortunately people have caught on to the game and it now commands a hefty price complete. I'm also looking to thin out the collection. I pretty much have the same problem too. Just not enough space.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Rob, I do like GBA games, I had one bitd but only really played Mario Kart so to see how big the library was is great, don’t like the boxes though, no real spine art🙈 I think as soon as we realise “you can’t own everything” that helps...everything I’ve sold I can still play via everdrive but still probably won’t🤣won’t be missed
@Champion2D4 жыл бұрын
@@Sinisteve I can't argue with that. It's true regarding gba boxes. They're not the best. It's true. We can't possibly own everything. That's how I feel nowadays across all media. Collecting should really have some sort of structured end goal. Otherwise it just turns into hoarding. Unless you're super rich living in a massive home It's just not sustainable.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, I was sort of unofficially going for a full pal MegaDrive set...but also Full Amiga Psygnosis Full Amiga Gremlin Full Amiga Elite Full Amiga Ocean And Full Amiga Sega and Capcom As well as getting more arcade boards and Japanese MD shooters🤣🙈 Got to stop somewhere I did feel quite structured before but was never happy buying stuff and just putting it in storage

Audio sounds great. I have a Rode SmartLav and they produce fantastic audio for the price. Love Final Fight One; I had that back in the day. And yes, I do indeed love Timesplitters! Cracking series.

Yeah pretty impressed with the rode smartlav, definitely better than my last £4 eBay purchase that was hissing everywhere🙈 Maybe now a collaboration is possible?? Nah my voice is still irritating as fuck😂

Sorry to see the Outrun having issues but at least you have the skills to fix it. With that Phillips TV although sweet looking without the room better off passing it on. Space seems to be the bane for many collectors. Really nice pick ups.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Cheers matey, outrun is fixed already, I’m lucky I know people that repair this stuff and there is a monitor expert that lives like 15 minutes away from me, very handy

That is a well organized , kept and proportioned game room. Splendid pick-ups aswell. I find retrogames more entertaining than the more recent ones. The limited hardware forced the developers to expand their horizons of gaming ideas.

Cheers dude, think I just prefer the pick up and play aspect, especially since having kids, just don’t have the time to put 100s of hours into a game

Sinisteve Retro Gamer : I understand completely. Since I am WAAAY older than you , my 3 sons are all grown up , but when they were younger , I had to fit in some Amiga-time whenever possible. Now they are 31 , 29 and 20. All three are NES and Amiga fans/collectors like dear old dad.

"The NES carts might be next".....which when translated from cockney means they're definitely going next lol I know the feeling Steve, when you start to question certain things you have in your collection then you know the writing is usually on the wall. It's not a bad thing though, you're freeing up funds as you say for things that mean something to you so win-win really. I remember those TV's, wanted one back in the day actually.....still look cool to be honest, a nice display piece but a bit limited as you say. Those C64 boxes look pretty smart, i'm not usually into those repro boxes but they do look nice. Yeah you stick to "lovely Wolf" mate, i'll have Maria haha......Nice bundle of course, I knew it would have some quality in it if you were heading out to pick it up.....Traps 'n' Treasures, love the look of that one. Not sure I remember it from back in the day....might have been Paul showing it off a couple of years ago which sparked my interest.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
The trouble I have is I buy so much stuff in bundles and usually sell what I don’t want to recoup the money but I’m quite lazy and sometimes forget to, so now I’ve ended up with quite a lot of games that I’ve kept hold of but no intention of playing Not many systems to go through...nes definitely one of them though Traps n Treasures is definitely one to check out, lovely little game

It was good to catch up at AC the other week, it’s a shame we weren’t able to hang out for longer, next time maybe. I can’t believe you’ve already passed on your ED Pro lol, well at least you’ve lost no money on it that’s the main thing. I still want to get a flash cart at some point for my AES. I’m thinking of shifting some things so I can raise the funds to get one. Man alive Shinobi is one of my favourite arcades of all time and one I played at Leeds the other week. I wish I picked up the digital Switch version when it was on sale for a few quid. Great vid mate.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
I really don’t know why I bought that Everdrive Pro, I never needed it... It doesn’t work with the mega cd attached so it would’ve been a faff to use, this way I can still play any mega cd games I own or copies plus 32x MegaDrive and Master System games without touching anything Would definitely recommend the MVS flash cart, even though it’s quite expensive I think I’ve got my money’s worth already

Time to upgrade the megadrive to a Genesis! shame about outrun but im sure that will be fixed in no time! The SoR4 soundtrack is great... As a whole i think it has the strongest in the series. that SMB3 box is so iconic! one i have considered picking up again. but id rather have loose so i dont get dragged back into that rabbit hole agaon. lol. it didnt take long to re complete that stryx. 😂 I remember seeing traps and treasures back at an early play expo, and he was asking £100 which i thought was an eyewatering price at the time, but it seems like he probably was doing a bit of a deal! Awesome Video! and excellent pick ups!👍🏻

Haha the MD is modded so that wouldn’t do anything, I’m guessing there’s a mod for the 32X but I’m not going down that road, no 32X games I want to play I just like the look of the tower of power Outrun back working again😊 If that Traps n Treasures was nice I would’ve snapped it up!

Nice update vid Steve’o 👍🏼 It’s the Amiga take over! 😆 if that’s what you would rather have out and have easy access too, then it makes sense. Nice Robo cab condom👍🏼 Shame to hear OutRun is out of action. I did wince when you mentioned it as I was hoping it wasn’t going to be a board issue, but was slightly relieved when you confirmed monitor related 😅 I’m sure you will drop your spare in, in no time and have it back in action. Nice boxed Nintendo stuff too. The SMB3 box is just so iconic.
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Yeah love that SMB3 artwork, top game... Yeah outrun is playing blind so defo monitor issue...the other monitor doesn’t just drop in but does have off the shelf connectors that will convert it to work and it’s a better monitor so win win I suppose👌🏼 Hope you’re doing well DaveO

Cheers Jay, Outrun monitor has literally been dropped off 20 minutes ago, I actually have a spare 19” monitor I’ve dropped off too to hopefully get converted to just drop in and work, always good to have a spare🙈

Hello Steve My Sega Astro City monitor starts to show strange picture movement when firing the baby up. Only in the beginning. After 30 seconds its the normal picture again. I think its the horizontal size which quenches like a pillar. Top and bottom corners remain the same. Where did you have your Outrun Cab monitor recapped... Do you know a reliable source here in Europe to let the chassis recapped? Is it a good idea to recap the adjustment PCB (for brightness, gamma, hori- and vertical adjustments) under the control panel, too? Fantastic room btw. I like that you put a lot of thinking in the room. Tried to get Egret's too but couldnt find here in Germany or Netherland. Now I have 2 Astro Cities which i adore. Need an advice before the problem might intensify some day. Thanks
@Sinisteve4 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy That definitely sounds like it need sorting... Go on Ukvac forum and look up a guy called Gunblade, he’s the monitor guru for most of the U.K and your only need to send him the chassis Do remote boards even have capacitors?🤔 I know the pots can go a bit flakey, I remember my astro had a rusty connector that was putting the monitor in shut down

I think we are all thinning our collections and trying to focus. I've been rambling on about it as has Russ 😆. I totally understand what you mean about wanting to display the core of your collection. Such an awesome room mate. Prehistoric isle is a great shooter, gutted about outrun hope you get it fixed 🤞 Been after one of those TV's for ages 😍. Great pick ups mate, love your Amiga collection.

We can’t own everything... I’ve had a full Dreamcast collection and the hunt was great but I’ve already got other collections I’m more interested in...I get much more pleasure loading up Amiga games than MegaDrive, can’t remember the last time I took a MegaDrive cart out and loaded it🙈 I’ll invest back into Japanese shooters probably If you was closer I’d say come and grab this tv off me ha
