SWOS, Lemmings, Rainbow Islands, Rod-Land, Buggy Boy - lots of my favourites here. The Amiga had such a vast, varied catalogue across so many years that 25 is nowhere near enough. I could easily choose 25 other games that I loved (especially strategy games), and someone else could probably suggest another 25 that they loved. Not that there wasn't lots of crud as well, of course.

Hi, first video I've seen of yours and I love the room. I grew up with Speccy then Amiga followed by PS1 and other consoles so the balance you have is perfect to me as I've always loved arcade games too. I can still play Amiga games via my CD32 but otherwise I focus on PlayStation 1/2/3/4. Never seen a 4:3 plasma before, it looks great. I use a 42" 16:9 Panasonic plasma for PS3 and PS4, and a 27" 4:3 TV for older stuff.

So I need to trim it. My main collections won't be touched though - N64, Star Wars and Amiga. I was disgusted with myself for how much I accumulated and just left in the attic and sheds, it was the most stressful part of moving I think shifting all my stuff!

@@Sinisteve the sheer volume of stuff was ridiculous for me. Plus the added stress of trying not to damage anything and wrap it well, as a lot is obviously worth money. That looks great Steve. Oh man you have been ruthless. I think you made a good call keeping OutRun and Sinistar though, awesome cabs. The Vewlix is a fantastic addition as well. Space is always an issue, especially when arcade cabs come into play. I've recently been slimming down a bit myself, the big box Switch collectors editions have been among the first things to get the chop. Ah I see you have the Rendering Ranger CE. Thats actually one I've decided to keep hold of as the Japanese original goes for an eye watering amount. 😂 I've also been trimming down the Snes (mostly duplicates which I have on the Megadrive as well) plus a few Japanese Neo AES titles. There is no logical reason for me to keep the AES games as I have them on MVS, but this pains me the most, there is just something special about the artwork and those big carts. I've actually got a similar arrangement to what you had, with Japanese candy cabs one side and Western dedicateds the other. I really could do with losing a few, but I find it so hard. I'll have to make some tough decisions down the line though. Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend. 😀

Hey Jase hope you’re well pal. I know it’s not the same thing but I have everdrives for almost everything and the games just sit there…some of the MD games I sold I had owned for like a decade maybe even longer but never actually played them🙈I’m going to try and be more ruthless as I’ve still got a loft full of stuff I need to thin through… Having a spring clean is good though, can give a bit of focus back and you play a few games too, which is what it’s all about. You still got all your cabs?
@PlanetHarriers15 ай бұрын
@@Sinisteve Alls well here thanks mate. Yeah I definitely lost a bit of focus down the line and it's good to get it back. On a similar note though, I sold my PC Engine collection a couple of years ago and had massive regret, so it's important to be sure (or as sure as you can be!) about selling. I've still got all my cabs, I'll probably sell a few down the line as my games room is full and I've still got fixer uppers that I really want in the games room when they're done. Judging by my current rate of progress I probably won't need to worry about that for a while though haha. :)

I only got around to playing Pang and Rodland in recent years via emulation, I can see why they are considered to be great games, they are still fun now and I wish I had sought them out in the early 90s when we first got our Amiga. I couldn't get New Zealand Story working right via emulation, and I don't have an old-school joystick anymore either, that's the best way to play most of these games in my opinion. A lot of this list are very worthy choices and I owned half a dozen of them and played demo disks of many others. My brother had different tastes to me and luckily so, because without him I might never have played many great strategy games like Civ, Caesar, Railroad Tycoon, Historyline, The Settlers, Dune 2 and Colonization, all of which we bought and hugely enjoyed. Other notable games that were among my favourites are Wembley International Soccer, Frontier, Championship Manager Italia, Ultimate Soccer Manager, The Manager, Final Fight 2 (yes I know it is not great on the Amiga compared to other platforms, but for me it was still a decent port of an arcade title and I appreciated it) and Syndicate.
