the mother is only to the blame. Her own perspective and treating others made her children act like this. Duckling's mental state was broken only because of the mother and her children that they learned that it is fine to bully someone. Parenting is mostly an issue when it comes to raise your childrens

While I agree with you about the mother swan being the root of the problem. I would be lying if I said that the siblings were entirely innocent. They could have looked for him at least once. But they didn't, not even the one who felt guilty as an adult. Just because you were raised a certain way, doesn't mean you should let it define you. Which is why it sucked when Silvia got killed too. She had learned that lesson when it was too late. He wouldn't listen to reason, or remorse. Not even to his own flesh and blood.

So, the question about Silvie while being remorseful about their actions, I'd argue that they're still equally at fault because they didn't try to reach out prior, there's a reason why the saying when regarding bullying exists "if you see something, speak up" because choosing not to, choosing to blend in with the crowd, just makes you just as bad if not worse than the actual bullies, because you could have been the thing that kept the victim grounded, kept them sane.
@raisasomaraki3870

truly, for silvie it didn't work to show remorse 'better late than never'. he didn't know how to act differently than what the majority was doing and simply followed.

@@raisasomaraki3870 It's the same thing with anyone feeling depressed, all it takes is that one person to tell them that everything is going to be ok, that things will get better in the end. The moment a victim or someone feeling isolated away from their peers feels like they have nothing left to lose, is when they snap and become... well THAT, or in the case of anyone suffering from depression... taking their own lives.

Personally, I think what he did was still wrong... but not just because he murdered all of them, including Silvia, but here's another reason: Even if he did the right thing, he did it for the wrong reason. I think the fact that he took their feathers to make himself "beautiful" shows that he's still holding himself to their standard.

I wonder what kind of life the duckling led after leaving the geese and how he got human-like hands, human-like teeth, and the ability to take out an entire family of geese with ease. Geese tend to be taller and weigh a bit more than ducks, so him taking all of them out is pretty impressive. Since there was a barn that he operated out of, I wonder if he did something to the human(s) that the barn belonged to. Maybe he took their hands and teeth. Could he have made some sort of deal with an entity to give him the ability to take parts of others and make them his own, or could he have had this ability all along from birth? He was different from the others, so maybe he had some sort of mutation ability.

Aw, poor Silvia at least regretted his actions. I feel like the ugly duckling did hear it and that's why he left him for last, because in his eyes, regret after all of this is too little, too late (after all, the crap they said was still awful and regretting it can't make up for what was already done). And yes, the mother did screw up all of her kids by example and lead to all of this. Even though most of the ducklings grew up and still believed the same garbage their mother spewed.

Plot twist: This is a continuation from the original story of "The Ugly Ducking". After the swan left, she still had the trauma from what had happened to her when she was a hatchling. And thus, she never forgave the Mama Duck and her duck siblings for what they did. So when she had her own family and a duck egg accidentally rolled into her nest, she immediately abused the little duckling; just as Mama Duck did to her. And so...the cycle of abuse continued...😔

I think we're looking at this all too literally. I think the story IS about a human child who was shunned by their family for whatever reason (I believe it was race related, maybe Mother Goose had an affair?), ran away, ended up growing up on the streets (Since if he grew up in an orphanage or somewhere similar, CPS or an equivalent would've probably gotten involved), then saw their siblings move into the area and recognised them, especially if they were talking about their childhood at the time, then kidnapped them and murdered them, and hid inside the house Simon had bought for a few years until their Mother came to visit?

You keep bringing up the hands but i think what keeps escaping your grasp (lol) is the fact that this story is not about actual ducks or swans. This is about a child and their family. The numbers at the beginning is confirmed to be a childs school ID by the creator, which implies that the child that made this, is also the duckling, and are making this as a vent piece because of how their family treats them. This is either a telling of the childs story, or a piece made by the child of what they wish they could do to their family

Yeah, it's really interesting how all the ducks are swans as well in this retelling (from what I remember of the original story, the "ugly duckling" was the only one who was a Swan?), and also some of the comments the swans make about the duckling, comparing his (yellow) coat to dirt? Makes you wonder...
@Party-parade
@Party-parade 11 күн бұрын
@somrone9236 oh yeah absolutely! The original story of the ugly duckling was a story of a swan baby who was misplaced into a ducks nest, and grew up surrounded by ducks. Duck babies are rather cute, but swan babies don't really look the prettiest in comparison. But this version has it swapped, and with the added comments of a "pure bloodline" and certain comments on the ducklings appearance, it seems more that the child who was the "duckling" in this scenario was born into a high end family, and had some kind of feature that set them apart (different hair? Different skin color? A birth defect? Disabled? Who knows) which is what led to the ridiculing, and inevitably what drove the "duckling" to kill the others

Silvie definitely didn’t deserve it, since she was the only one who felt bad about the past and wished they didn’t bully the duckling. But with these horror stories and her being apart of the bullying fiasco, it was inevitable. Rip Silvie😔

I blame the mother, while they were terrible to the duckling, they didn't know any better as they were just born, doesn't change what happened but at least one has remorse
@testerwulf3357

Feeling bad doesn’t undo what you did or the fact you allowed it to happen. She could of looked for their duck sibling but didn’t. She’s just as bad as the rest! Allowing people to do bad things and putting no effort to do anything good is just as bad as those doing the bad things. You aren’t some hero for doing nothing. That was the point of Silvie and her dying..and despite feeling bad about they treated him she STILL called him ugly..😬

Always funny how those who treat others horribly never expect any consequences.. and when it hits.. "its unfair" They are all to blame for how they acted, even if the mother is the catalyst. Duck never disserved that treatment. They got what they earned.

I think atleast sylvie should have gotten some slack as they genuinely had remorse but in that same case I could think of something much darker happening to them if that were the case tho 😢 this might've been the best case scenario all things considered, I mean the ideal scenario would be the siblings looking for the duckling and apologizing the moment they noticed he disappeared.

As for your last questions, this is quite a complicated matter. A duckling psychologically abused by loved ones to such an extent that it gets rid of the entire family can be justified by trauma, loneliness, etc. Perhaps our victim should not have logged out of life because he had remorse, but perhaps the suffering and pain from childhood were not treated and this hatred was there all the time (from the beginning to the end of the story). But in this story, the real antagonist is the mother who had racist beliefs and shaped her children in such a way that they mostly became like simon with the beliefs that the mother had, and this duckling became a monster by the way it was treated (in short, the family treated him like garbage, he was the one who treated his "family" like garbage in adulthood and got rid of them )

Well, the way that I look at it the years of abuse the duck has suffered makes me feel a little bit Of empathy but it does not fully justifyies actions sylvie Wondered how the duckling was doing, but the duck no longer cared for anyone's opinion. He just wanted to be beautiful but nothing could stop him on his quest

I feel like something that wasn’t taken account was the title screen, you can see that when the duck talks, there is a black block unlike the others and on the title when it turns red, it has the same text as when he talks. So, maybe he altered it somehow? The thing about the “by” is mother / you so does that mean that maybe the duck (probably based off a real person due to the human like hands) made this for there mother and we are seeing this off of the point of view of the mom? It’s horrible to actually think about what if the swans and ducks were actually humans. A short, bloody person wearing skin- hhhhhhh
