We have a tear-down of the Sapphire Nitro Pure coming up!
The RX 6950 XT draws a lot of power, but it does depend (to some extent) on which partner model you buy. The Sapphire Pure that we're looking at has heavier VBIOS power consumption than the AMD official spec, putting it close to 500W when overclocked. That's a lot of headroom, but also a lot of power, and ranks it alongside some of the more OC-focused NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti GPUs, like the EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3. In these benchmarks, we'll compare the Sapphire RX 6950 XT vs. the RTX 3090, RTX 3090 Ti, RX 6900 XT, and the cheaper RTX 3080 & RX 6800 XT alternatives.
We reviewed the RTX 3090 Ti here: • EVGA RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 ...
And the original RX 6900 XT here: • AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT ...
