Nicholai Ginovaef, my favorite of the entire series, hoping he makes it again like he did in the original. The guy was legendary, single handedly took out all his other Supervisors, faced BOWs, the heroes and even Umbrella itself and came out on top, without needing a dues ex machina virus like Wesker. He's the only human antagonist in the series to actually escape and profit. Now he's sitting on a beach somewhere earning 20%. Probably even sold off his gathered intel to the Black market when Umbrella fell.

Raccoon City wasn't one of the most tragic events in Resident Evil... it was THE MOST tragic event of the Resident Evil series as it is always mentioned in later games.

Raccoon wasn't the most tragic, it was the one we were thrown into first. First place to show our characters how devastating the T virus could be, let alone Umbrella. Bc correct me if I'm wrong but everyone that you can play as in Raccoon city all fought T virus infected individuals and all of them also found some sort of secret umbrella test facility. It was basically the city scenario of a zombie apocalypse, pushing normal people into an abnormal position

I have the utmost respect for Mikhail Viktor, not knowing that he was disposable by Umbrella, loss of his men, and being severely injured, he still fought back, he even told Jill to get out of the cable car when Nemesis attacked him, knowing he couldn't kill it, he bravely sacrificed his life saying "You lose" and throwing Nemesis off the cable car so Carlos and Jill could escape.Thank you for giving respect to the man who died a hero ✊

I feel like the biggest bit of the story/lore is the home life of the characters Such as events that shaped them growing up, such as Sherry’s childhood and how it effected her growing up to events there and after How Chris kinda got a obsession with Umbrella and then gave up and was brought back Marcus’s(?) obsession with the virus eventually going to straight up leeches causing his previous failings to hit him in the back along with his research being stolen (albeit I have issue with it being Birkin who steals it) and the rivalry between Birkin and Alexia fueling Birkin’s decisions and Linda are up his life, while Alexia’s obsession didn’t eat it up so publicly as she was frozen and basically severed herself from her brother who... has a his own experiences Spencer’s obsession with immortality and Wesker’s obsession with evolution and fighting leading to Spencer kinda giving up in his final hours and Wesker’s vision of immortality departing from the two Basically Spencer wanting a basic take this, don’t die, and Wesker’s being ‘only the fit should survive’ This basically leaves resident evil 4’s characters completely blank aside from basically the last few years for the game. The same seems to apply to resident evil 5’s Irving. Resident evil 6 just seems very vague. I think this is would be a great example of making the characters human and possibly giving a slight pattern to the character’s life and overall would separate form the in-game stuff a lot since it’s largely only showing you a few hours, days or maybe a week depending on game, even so only a few specific events or a generalization of what effected the characters the most would likely be brought up, which may also bring up aspects the characters neglect in their lifes as a obsession, duty, or anything else they committed to soaks up time and resources form everything else, such as Chris seemingly growing more distant from all the other characters as time goes on and how Jake never got closure to his story and that kinda being his whole deal in RE6 which doesn’t get much light to it.

I feel like Nikolai didn't die at the end of Re3 Remake, he is probably far too cunning to not have a Plan B, like dude seriously was able to "Induce Nemesis and other BOWs to fight Jill and other combatants like cops and UBCS soldiers" in a zombie and BOW infested city while he collected combat data, a guy capable of pulling that off and surviving would mostly have multiple extraction plans.

I don't know in RE3 original the Murphy in the cinematic is different from the character sprite in the game, the sprite Murphy is wearing an OD green benny cap with a T-shirt, where the one in the Cinematic is wearing a black benny cap with OD green Jacket not a T-shirt, that and he gets mobbed and cornered by a lot of zombies probably more still behind them at the end of the cinematic, are we sure it's the same guy?

The Mercenaries are by far my favorite set of characters in RE. People talk about the bad things of RE3R, but one of the very good aspects of the game is the better development of the cast. Mikhail being shown as a very competent leader, even knowing Jill record as a STARS member, Nicholai is even a better antagonist than Wesker for me, he's such an asshole that you can only love to hate the guy and Carlos is my favorite male character, he got such a good chemistry with Jill and I was very happy to see that they even played more with the obvious romantic relationship that Jill and Carlos have in RE3, I would really like to see Capcom developing their romance so we can finally have so proper character development and arc in the franchise xD Side note: The ending of that CGI movie of the UBCS is one of the most bizarre and fucked up endings I have ever seen in a video game related material, I absolutely love it

Technically in canon, they all survived. Alyssa Ashcroft (the reporter) even has a news article she writes in Dulvey, Louisiana that you can find in RE7.

If its canon i think they were survive the first wave of the outbreak if you see the ending of RE outbreak file 1 you can see there are still a group of military entering the city and got quarantine of its access to the city, if you saw Jill in RE3 she's got busy running away from nemesis also the state of the city was out of control, the UBCS were wipe out etc, mean while Claire and Leon were the last one who came to Raccoon City that were already infested, they got lucky to be in RPD though, although the umbrella sent some of Tyrant there to eliminate the remaining survivors,
