Sometimes, I wonder what the series would be like if more Bravo members had survived, or if Alpha and Bravo had switched places. Yes, it's easy to disregard Bravo team, as they died like fodder characters, but then again, they were caught off-guard (who seriously expects zombies or giant snakes in a giant mansion?). In fact, Alpha team only succeeded because they saw what happened to their comrades. Who knows how things would've gone if Alpha had gone in first. One thing's for certain: Richard and Enrico were tough SOBs. I wonder how strong they could've become if they had escaped Arklay mansion with the others and proceeded to grow like the others (and take steroids like Chris, lol).

On a similar note regarding survival horror, I often think how cool it would have been if Gorman and Vasquez survived Aliens with Hicks and the rest. The story arc for them would have been amazing.

These characters were devised to play a minor role, mostly to help creating a gritty atmosphere within the story. They were never intended to be developep any further. At the time, nobody expected that first Resident Evil game would spawn an enormous franchise.

Richard is so loyal it hurts not having an option to truly save him!! ;w; it sucks knowing that most of Bravo team were alive in RE0 but only Rebecca surviving the Spencer Mansion in the end was almost foreshadowing.

I agree. Unfortunately, saving Richard would result in a time paradox. Capcom would have to remake the first game again, as well as THE ENTIRE series. He needs to unfortunately stay dead, just like **FINAL FANTASY 7 SPOILERS, TAGGING JUST IN CASE, SO DON'T LOOK IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT** Aerith in FF7. It would be nice to save her too in the remake, but then it would mess with the continuity (like Advent Children).

Joseph’s death bothers me after knowing about Wesker’s involvement. Everyone in alpha team just watches the poor guy cry for help as he’s torn apart by Cereberus, but I can only imagine Wesker laughing in his own mind.

The fact that he made it so long and was only killed by wesker says a lot about him as a character. I would really be interested in seeing how his experience was.

Watching this helps to understand some of the PTSD that we see Chris suffering from later in the series relating to losing his men. It all started with his friends getting almost completely obliterated in the Spencer mansion incident.

Our hearts go out to the unfortunate victims of the outbreak that started it all. S.T.A.R.S may be gone, but there legacy will not be forgotten. Another great video.

The members of S.T.A.R.S.were basically a family...but wesker was not part of it. Most of the members died for his research and he didn't even care about them. Most of the members died in horrible grotesque ways all for wesker and umbrella to do research of there virus and b.o.w monsters. S.T.A.R.S will never be forgotten in the surviving hearts of the former members Chris redfield, Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers, and Jill Valentine. I would mention Brad but he was killed in resident evil 3. RIP S.T.A.R.S. As i said before Albert Wesker was never part of this family. That bastard.

Great video. The STARS guys are one of the coolest things in the OG RE. Love you Rebecca, but everyone in the Bravo team are looking after her like a lil sister, she should've gotten more combat training.

That is something that takes a fair amount of training, practice, repetition & experience to get good at.. No one just gets a single round of 'training' & instantly becomes an 'expert' and training can only go so far..it doesn't guarantee 'a solid experience' of combat.. Nor does it happen often enough, (for real), to prep a rookie..even with lots of RPD academy, and STARS team 'training'..she would be quite competent in a basic sense, sure.. (Far more so than she was portrayed as in OG, RE1).. But even as a trained, new RPD recruit, she was still an entirely untested (in real combat) STARS rookie..so some elements of her behavior, and her inability to fight a hunter the first time she sees one.. Is hardly unfair.. How long do you think you'd survive seeing an angry hunter for the first time..especially when it attacks!? Got your inner gymnast all warmed up, your inner rambo all fired up, and your.. Yeah, I don't think so either.. Unless you had a rifle or shotgun, already in the aim, and ready to fire very accurately..and do critical injury to it quickly, such as brain or spine shots with a rifle, or blow off limbs & legs and claws with a shotgun.. You would NOT be surviving a real hunter attack either.. Look how much trouble poor Forrest had, surprised by just infected Crows! A bloody grenade launcher is useless against them! (Real 40mm grenades have a danger-close failsafe), it permanantly duds the round, if it doesn't travel a certain distance in flight when fired..and NO, you can't just reload it & try again..the round is permanantly an expensive dud, thereafter..and must be seen to by a qual'd armourer. They are a mid to long range option only IRL, obviously..targets at least 30 meters away, if you had solid cover..maybe..but out to 200+ meters is more realistic. With 350m being about their max. Effective range. And let's not forget..You only need to get infected..just one bite, one scratch or puke, or one splash of infected blood in your eyes, or absorbed into soft tissues.. Just getting your clothes wet with it, over the course of the mansion events..would be long enough for it to be absorbed into your skin.. By the time your chopper ride back to the RPD, and you were giving a de-briefing, and writing up reports..your already infected.. And by next morning.. You'd be eating your pet's food, and SMS-ing you boss 'itchy..tasty..' as to why you weren't coming to work..ever again. Unless you really hated your workmates, and your last coherent thought was to go there & eat their faces.. Only those who got a perfect, zero damage run through, first time out..can realistically expect to have gone home, clean & uninfected.. Yeah, that wasn't me either.. So, give Rebecca some credit..she did pretty damn well, for a teenaged rookie, with no combat experience..and she had a real, similar, strong, desire to Richard's, to care for & look after her teammates.. Which is far better than any of you bastards looked out for me, in any of my playthroughs! Itchy..tasty..

Very well made! While you covered everything seen and a little of the unknown aspects, like Kenneth's love for gardening, you definitely should have included Richard's back story. In one of the files in Umbrella Chronicles, you learn of his sister being killed in front of him while he did nothing, hence why he became a policeman and his willingness to sacrifice himself.

Yeah it does. The original uncut version has more blood on the zombie as it eats him while blood pools around him and as the zombie turns ken's head rolls around into view half eaten and stuck in a permanent scream of agony and fear. They really knew how to horror back in the 90's. Not like this bullshit "Jump out and scare you" movie trend that is literally the lowest form of horror i have EVER fucking seen. No lasting scars or mental trauma either. Its just so lame.

It's funny that it was the US release that censored everything back then. They said the Director's Cut was uncensored, but it ended up still being censored. The only US release that wasn't censored was the PC version. Then the homage in The Evil Within with the head was censored in Japan in exactly the same way the original RE US version was, but that's on Sony. They've been on the warpath for a while now putting bigger restrictions on developers for sexual and violent content in games that will be on their console(s). If you see the Japanese release of Until Dawn... oof. Practically everything fades to black instead of showing gore.

Another great video. Bravo Team needed this as most of them are quite unknown for non-familiar players. For the Timeline Part 6 I hope you'll manage to re-release it. I'm still baffled that Wesker didn't shoot Chris/Jill with Enrico when he explained about the traitor in the group, or that they didn't run after Wesker in that moment.

i love the art work for the first resident evil game characters. i have the black case version of the game and the manual and i just love looking at the characters and reading about em. they all got big feets lol. rebecca was always my favorite, i guess because i see myself in her a little bit plus i like how smart she is for her age. i never cared for jill much, dunno why.

Nice compilation. I would love to see footage of Forest's perspective showing how he was mortally wounded inside the mansion by a crimson head or hunter (as evident from the slash on the left side of his rib cage), before stumbling out to the terrace while bleeding out as the crows pecked at his body while unconscious on the chair.

They really should do a game on bravo team member who made it to the mansion. Theybwere here 24 hrs before alpha team. So kenneth was probably tired and losing it after fighting all night against monsters and not having sleep, fod or water so thats whybhe paniced so much and got killed. It would really be cool to play as enrico seeing as he was the one to find everything out. Richard also survived long enough to fight loads of monsters and survived until alpha team came. I think forrest was the only one who didnt survive the whole 24hrs

Would it be wild if #capcom made an original game with either Alpha/Bravo members and we got to play them during their final hours, through the forest and mansion. Even though we know how they end but imagine trying to survive in the Arklay Forest, and having meet ups with the other team while they try to survive in the mansion.
