Certainly makes a lot of sense as well and I wouldn't be surprised if there are double meanings intended. I am pretty certain the floating islet aims for the double meaning too, as its a perfect fit for the Aincrad thought too as I mentioned. My interpretations were generally focused on the "Nightmare/Recovery sequence", however thinking outside of that box, yours is equally great!

200 Years I agree that this opening is more symbolic this time around, and although I'm not a full-fledge light novel reader, I can already picture and predict the next few eps with the symbolism. Side Note: Gamerturk did you at all get reminded of Tokyo Ghoul. Especially the white hair which is *Kaneki's* main look. Kirito going from that white husk form into the black swordsman is VERY similar (or at least heavily reminded me of) Kaneki (or whatever his name was when he lost his memory) becoming *Black Reaper* Kaneki. Although without the involvement of others since it was more of an amnesia situation and not a broken down state that Kirito is in. But in all curiosity, did you see this resemblance?

I mean, I dropped TG a very long time ago because I simply despised Kaneki... On a basic level, if we simplify it to "depression", yeah, sure. Otherwise, no. Also, Kirito's case predates Kaneki btw. The official LN was published after the initial TG Manga, but the story was already written as a Web Novel years ago.

200 years I love how there's no explanation to Kirito's swords, since the Elucidator and Dark Repulsor were pretty much a part of his "Persona". But maybe it's symbolizing his bond with Eugeo? I'm not too sure.

It's both that, and the fact that they are separate objects than his "self image", the Black Swordsman in black leather coat. The swords themselves are an extension of that persona, not really the persona itself.

god...i wish i watched the premiere of the vid, but i was soooo buisy regaining my prograss in lycoris...for some reason i can't remember, from the save point zakkaria, my game hasn't saved or i just forgot to save, and then when i was at the kirito v eugeo fight, my game crashed and i was send back to the camp site before you enter zakkaria XD...well at least after 20 hours of playing alicization lycoris (not non stop) i finally got to the start of the game original story part, after defeating quinella :) and pray to god that this won't happen again... So here a smal advice to all lycoris players: save your game at EVERY savepoint piller you find...you'll regret it if you don't and you get set back 6 hours of pure play time like me XDXDXD also, i'm so happy WoU is back...i got so hyped by the opening and the end "cliffhanger" that i can't wait for next weeks episode :)

But yeah, I'm excited for the final episodes! (Pacing question, if Awakening will be eps 1,2,3 and 4, how is Lasting gonna fit in 6 episodes? I mean, it could work, but ideally, it shouldn't be stretched out.)

I disagree with only one thing, the streaks in the sky. I think it's it 7 because [spoiler] Bercouli dies. So he's the only one that doesn't survive to see/feel Kirito wake up. Hence why his streak isn't there, and it zooms in on only him scanning the sky. The "prediction of his death" part. He knows his streak isn't there and knows this is his end. That's my take anyway :)

Spoiler answer: At the end of Alicization, it's a race against time before Underworld goes into overtime acceleration. Kirito manages to get Asuna and Alice to the alter while he stays back without telling them anything about what would happen. Alice gets out, but sensing Kirito was hiding something from her, Asuna stays back no matter the circumstances. They get stuck in Underworld for 20 minutes in real life time, which was roughly 200 years in Underworld time. It is heavily implied after achieving so much, they spent their final couple dozen years simply sleeping.

That's because Alicization was originally designed as the end of the series in the first place. The ending of Alicization, before the Epilogue (which will be adapted in the anime) feels very much like a true ending. However once the epilogue happens, it becomes clear that it will go on.

I read the novel, i really enjoy this story and if adapted well, it can easily become one of the best animes of 2020. What i really dislike is, (minor spoiler) that we will see Kirito almost the entire story in his SAO Outfit. I really like is UW Outfit and one handed blade combat style much more. I hope they adapt PoH's story good, bc in the novels, I wouldnt say it was rushed, but it was pretty hard to understand (at least for some non native english reader) i look forward to this season and am HYPED AS SHIT #200years (maybe we get some fillers from that time)

No, it's the exact opposite. There's a lot of emphasis on how human the aritifical fluctlights really are. In fact, when Kirito met the people of Rulid, he almost thought that they were all test divers like him, before realising that there was no way Rath could've hired so many. Even Yui, by Kirito's observation, who's like in the top 1% of all AI's, is mentioned as having the occasional NPC-like moment where she's not sure how to react and just makes a confused expression, something Kirito doesn't see in the people of the Underworld. The reason why Kikuoka's interested in them too is because they're not ordinary NPC's, though he doesn't see them as human. They're pretty much ordinary humans except a) Not having a physical body. b) Being incapable of breaking rules.

So uh novel finishers only past this point Well I haven even read moon cradle, so I would love to get a link or something to that. Please don't say "buy it," I obviously have a reason to ask. Anyway, imagine if copy Kirito meets the actual Kirito. We've seen that the Star King does not disappear from knowing he is a copy, so imagine the conversation between the two of they meet. Tbh I feel bad for the Star King. Asuna didn't get copied before her memory was deleted so he musta been lonely.
