Wingspan was my first ever solo game that I played. And since that I always checking if game has solo rules. I also really like Genotype, both solo and multi. Still need to play Cellulose - I have it on shelf of opportunity 😉 since like 6 months 😅 My solo games on January: Sprawlopolis, Skulls od Sedlec and Wild Serengeti. Wild Serengeti is nothing specjal for me so I'm happy I tested it before purchase

In January I've solo played Tiny Towns (I got it on a huge sale) and Wingspan on steam. I need to get more solo games to the table this month. I've been thinking about playing Cascadia or Nusfjord again. I have the solo expansion for Concordia but haven't played it yet. Such a fun hobby. :D

One of the games I've soloed most often is Tim Fower's Burgle Bros. 2 - it handles so well solo and if you're a Oceans 11/12/13 fan it really captures that casino heist energy.

Always interesting to see/ hear games that are good to play solo. Definitely on the lookout for more that scream play me that aren't so intricate I can get non gamers involved. The only game I played solo in Jan is truly old-school - Fortress America. While technically multi player, if you play each side the best you can out can be done solo.

I discovered Railroad Ink Challenge recently (green box and the Eldritch Extension) and I love this little game! It's a Wonderful World is an excellent game. My scores are er... not that good (once I managed to be the dictator...); anyway it's a very satisfying engine building game. The extension Corruption and Ascendancy brings very powerful cards. I prefer it to It's a wonderful Kingdom. the mini. campaign War or Peace is exciting too! I don't know if I'll buy the other extension Leisure and Decay (or is it Decadence?) but I'm very tempted! I'm so happy that you discovered Wingspan! It's one of my favourite boardgame! I love the theme, the illustrations, the material ; the game itself is fabulous. I've got all the extensions, including Asia. The little board in this last box brings a very enjoyable new mechanism. And you can play it as a separate game, without the big box (what I do). Oh and I've got Dinosaur Island R 'n W. but still haven't played it! During January, I played Three Sisters, Look at the stars, the excellent roll 'n write Superskill Pinball 4cade (what a game!!!!) The NightCage again and Dog Park, Extinction.I love these games! Extinction is a brilliant game and Dog Park so pleasurable and quick.! Both have beautiful material (s?), it's a detail that I appreciate so much in a boardgame. I discovered Zombicide Gear Up!, the roll 'n write and it's a total success! I highly recommend it! I played other games but I forgot what. At the moment I'm reading the rulebook of Freedom the Underground Railroad. It seems to be an intelligent game about a tough subject. I'm touched by this BG because one of my ancestors was a slave. And another one was a slave-chaser!!! (in Brazil). And I ordered yesterday another flip. 'n write : Dice Hospital E.R. and of course, the BG that I was waiting for!!! Subterra II! Subterra is such an enthralling game, even scary! I hope that this sequel will be as captivating! (one of my cats, Everdell, is giving me hard time just right now: I barely can write on the keyboard, as he won't quit my lap, even if I push him aside!😍 all he wants is kisses and cuddles, and he's purring like a little panther. He's so happy that the tip of his little rose tongue is out, oh my! 🫠🥹) Thanks for the video Jenna! They are always interesting! Have a pleasant week!

I’m a tactile person and love to handle the pieces of a board game. But have you ever seen the online Steam version of this game? The birds on the cards are still until you activate them, then they come to life by having a beautiful animation and you hear their song. So you have a bunch of cards in front of you that are alive. The song only repeats when you move your mouse over the bird (I think).

I too played It's A Wonderful World solo for the first time this month! Such a pure, fast engine builder. Not much theme, but very satisfying. Rawr n Write is probably the best version of Dinosaur Island, definitely for solo players. Thinky but not over long.

I really wanna try Genotype! Have you played Cellulose? I was surprised how much I enjoyed it and the automa uses a "strategy map" that is kind of neat.

I have both Genotype and Cellulose. Both solo versions of these games are designed by the same guy, and it's fun to see how much his ideas evolved from Geno to Cellulose.
