My dad worked on Kingsley's Adventure, and when I went and told him Rob had played it and enjoyed it, (at the time of originally playing it...) he was quite pleased with himself. I'm glad that's 1 more confirmed player of Kingsley, bringing the number, finally, into the triple digits.

I've gotta admit, was hoping one of you would have mentioned Monster Rancher...seems like no one's heard of it. In the game you would go to "The Shrine" and irl, take the game disc out and put in a CD or other game disc. Different discs would give you different monsters that you could raise, battle and go on adventures with. It even had a tie in cartoon on Saturday morning, but alas, Monster Rancher couldn't compete with Pokémon and Digimon. Also, gonna grab Deiland asap, thanks for the recommendation Hollie!

Friend of mine tossed in an 'Adult' DVD to generate a monster for Monster Rancher 3 and it generated a new creature that was too high level for him to be allowed to obtain. Vexx is one that I rarely ever see people talk about. It was on the PS2 during the era of 3D platformers and the slogan on the back of the case was "Screw the princess, save the world!" Here's one for you: "James Bond-Everything or nothing" on the PS2 had an amazing two player splitscreen campaign, featuring levels that were not in the main game. You and a friend could choose between four unique "00" agents, playing across levels that were not in the main campaign. Reaching the various objectives in the levels would eventually unlock the 4 player arena stages, including the one where Jaws wonders around the level attacking whoever comes into contact with him. One of my favourite multiplayer experiences from the past, and one not many people are aware of. If you have a buddy, I'd highly recommend this one.

Certainly other people have heard of this game (series,) however, I'm fairly sure that only people over 25 will be cool enough to remember. I'm talking Sierra's "Dr. Brain" series. Man, those games were the best. Learning has never been so fun for a child. I must've been like 8 and the game had been out a few years, but my grandpa was a teacher at the time and he actually had a homebrew PC at his house that he built in his off time (at like 50,) back in the days before you could just go out and buy a gaming computer. That was my first exposure to video games. He also got me into The Incredible Machine and The Even More Incredible Machine (Rube-Goldberg-Machine games,) and he got me super into Myst at the same time. Aww man, remember Myst?! Best puzzle game ever. For anyone who doesn't know Myst, it still holds up to this day, legitimately, and your life cannot be considered complete until you beat this game. You can buy it on the iOS store under the name "RealMyst" for $5.00 USD and it's worth every penny.

I love it when people think vegans are going to get offended by video game content because an animal in the game is hunted or eaten. That's like saying "Oh, Suzy doesn't kill people IRL so she might be offended by all the murdering in GTA." Um... No. I'm not saying that there aren't people that are offended by these things, but most gamers probably aren't. I'm vegan and I play Monster Hunter, Spyro, Elder Scrolls, farming sims, pokemon, and many other games that "exploit" animals. It's not real. lol That's the fun thing about games. If it were real, every person who has ever played The Sims would be labelled a psychopath. :D (I'm looking at you, Hollie, with your monster person!)

Rei Zak I have Celiac disease and have to avoid gluten at all costs, even a single crumb coming into contact with my food will make me extremely sick and cause excruciating pain along with intestinal damage. I don't have a choice in the matter and it was a massive lifestyle change plus I literally cannot eat out anymore and it also alienates me from people. My family still thinks it's a joke despite knowing it's a life and death matter. I hate having to justify my medically necessary lifestyle all the time and don't even mention it to people if I don't have to. That and they act like I'm so rude and inconsiderate for being 100% commited to this regardless of if it hurts someone's feelings that I won't eat their food. I entirely understand where you are coming from. We are choosing to live these ways but we aren't forcing anyone else to do it and yet we get judged by the people shoving their health opinions down our throats.

Sentinel 777 it's my favourite JRPG. Fabulous story and mental characters. We need it on PS4.

I would imagine many have heard of it but yeah that game is brilliant.

I also played Shadow Hearts From the New World. They differences reminds me of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.

Sentinel 777 oh heavens no :p I loved both FFX and X-2. From the new world was utter garbage but yeah the differences I do see what your saying tho I loved X-2 and hated From the new world. It was so disappointing in comparison to the awesomeness of Covenant. The original Shadow Hearts is good also, not perfect but still enjoyable.

Going back to the PS1 era, I really loved "Jumping Flash." I remember renting it from the local rental store with a Playstation way back in the day. A cute, safe 3d polygon platform-and-shoot game. You played as a robot rabbit that had to collect carrots and stuff. I don't remember a lot about it, but I'd love to be able to play it again.

Wish I was hipster enough to come up with a game that nobody has heard of, but I think the closest I've got is "Apocalypse" on PS1, which I feel like people have heard of due to the Bruce Willis affiliation. All I remember about the game is that you play as an original Bruce Willis character, it's a third person shooter and the button layout was really weird. You used the 4 face buttons to shoot in a given direction, with Triangle shooting ahead of you, Square to your right, X behind you and O to your left.

PS1 Star Wars: Master of Terrakasa (not sure if that's spelled right) but the best star wars fighting game ever! Because it's the only one 😋
@jamesskelton34886 жыл бұрын
Richard Gillespie There was an Easter egg in the wool movie referencing that game. Qi'Ra says she used Tera Kasi to beat up the guards on Kessel. I was the only one in the threate who laughed at that. ... although I think I was the only one in there

James Skelton Ya I remember that! It kinda made me hope the lady named that would appear, but probably just an Easter egg

I was in love with this fighting game for PS1 when I was little. It was called Battle Arena Toshinden 2 (I never had 1 or any of the others). But that game was so much fun. I loved every single character and stage.

I know this is a playstation channel but like...... Custom Robo Battle Revolution. It's my favorite game if all time! Highly recommend it. It's a little arena fighter with a crazy rpg story that has metal gear length conversations and some really great dialogue easter eggs that let you skip some stuff if you say no enough!

That moment when you realise the NTSC version of Kingsley's Adventure is being shown in the video, as the text boxes sit lower on the screen in the PAL version... I love me some Kingsley.

i loved a game on the PS2 called Alter Echo, it was this scifi adventure where u could transform between a sword wielding guy, a huge tall tank with a gun, and a stealthy lizard who could turn invisible - the whole planet that you were on was alive and he was your companion and i remember the enemies were all quite varied and u had to mix and match your powers to fight them all, and there was all kinds of traversal and cool kinda biomechanical environments. its probably one of my favourite games actually, great memories conquering that when i was younger ! and bloody no one has heard of it !!

I would legacy of kain blood one 2, it was sequel to blood omen a prequel to soul Reaver, soul Reaver 2 n lok defiance. For me it came out at the wrong time n was over looked but it was extremely fun n funny game, what other game allowed you to pick up NPCs n hit them in the face with the hilt of sword or batter some poor sod in the balls with a spiked club lol, also has a interesting story n for fan of vampire fans it was game you could just pick up n play and fun combat maybe not quite as cool or good as soul Reaver but the mist stealth kills were awesome. I want a Legacy of Kain HD collection remaster make it happen Crystal Dynamics 😊

MartynJamieson9 I actually came across a copy of the original Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen at a mom and pop shop at my local mall and I didn't snatch it up right away. I went into the store the next day to get it and it was gone sadly. Once again the game has eluded me lol.

Great picks! I love hearing people's stories about more obscure games, usually they're endearingly quirky tales and there's a lot of personal enthusiasm for the games themselves that you might not see for bigger titles :)
