Temperatures, temperatures, temperatures. I lost a fair few prints to the cold last year; it's especially annoying when the supports break and there's pieces of model stuck to the FEP to clean out. My printer is now living in the shed in the garden (the fumes are evil, so it had to be evicted) but Summer is here and I am geared-up to print like crazy while I can.

Depends on which resin you use. The ABS like resins are fairly strong, add in a little Sirayatech tenacious & they get stronger.

Yes because buying a 3d printer that actually prints good GW standard miniatures, ressin, curing stations, STL's are cheap.... + a bunch of other tools.

that is one of the problems i have with 3d prined models, artists usually make them overdesigned second problem is artist usually arent really good at creating exciting dramatic poses

hey dude, if you want protection against cold temps without using a space heater (and blowing fumes all over the place) you can use a fermentation belt. Its literally just a band you put around your vat. The band warms up (gotta plug it in to a wall outlet) and conducts the heat to the vat. I've been using it this winter and I've had no cold related failures!

Think you do a video where you go through how you built your enclosure? I've had the idea for an enclosure on the back burner of my mind since winter started and I had to put my Saturn for hibernation. My next big purchase will be parts for an enclosure or an air purifier and I think the enclosure would be better :D Love your videos!

Enjoying the content. For a cold room, try using a "Brew Fermentation Heating Belt" - plug it in and wrap it around the tank and keep the machine covered. Keeps it nicely warm.

A while back you said you thought that it wouldn't be long before 3D printing was better than GW. Think we've hit that moment yet? I mean - for me, it's no question - the variety and quality of sculpts I get on my patreon subscriptions is far better than what I can get on GW. Yes, my prints aren't as good yet, but I have a dodgy printer and just as dodgy eyesight, so they look great on the table. :)

I painted the mech up as a Death Guard associated Knight Desecrator and she looks effing disgusting my dude! Gonna field her in my Saturday afternoon game!

These do look cool but the sculpts simply are not close to as good as gw. Can't stand the company but their overall design asthetic theor sculpts follow w chaos especially and 40k in general is very well done. The demon prince u printed looks the best. I would take one of them. The venom crawlers/ hell brute/ obliterators and possessed don't even hold a candle tho they look like sloppy offbrand knock offs.

I got back into painting during Covid, and have so far bought 1 GW set as I wanted to try Kill Team. Wish I had spent the money on resin and found One Page Rules sooner. I got a printer soon after getting back into painting and have never looked back I definitely feel that quality of stl's have surpassed GW sculpts by quite a margin now. Spent a bucket load on Patreons over the last few years and I have a digital pile of shame which is verging on the obscene. Probably got through 20-30kg of resin, have piles of huge models I could never afford to buy from GW, and still have never played a game of 40k in my life. 🙂
