The only way forward for GW is to lower their prices. The only thing killing interest in the hobby is the buy in price. IF GW was smart, the new Custodes would be making super small armies viable, so you could play the hobby with an extremely cheap buy in, to get the player into the hobby. Get them hooked and then let them dive deeper in over time, the rules should be a free app, for greater, easier access to more. The game is what keeps folks in over the decades, not just the lore and models. The game itself. But whatever. They have been leaving their fans behind for years. Each new codex leaves more and more folk behind. They really need to stop introducing new rules and focus on new factions. Preferably fan made. So that the female only faction the woke want so bad, will appear all on its own over time.

GW is a dead company as far as I'm concerned. Everyone in our Original Warhammer and Warhammer 40K groups cancelled our subscriptions and vowed never spend another euro buying GW's garbage. We have a couple of graphic artists in our group so we'd rather design our own armies, then buy a 3-D printer and create our own models. Additionally, our group plans on freezing the Warhammer 40K rule sets from Eighth Edition (2017) and using those as the base for our games in the future, so who needs to buy ANYTHING from a company that does not respect its fan base.

They are doing a simple dialectic process. You smash to opposite viewpoints into each other and find a middle ground. Then again... and again until you carefully nudged the narrative toward your end goal. It' s looooong drawn out process but it works. The end game? Something like the acceptance of MAPs. That is why GW does not care about the old guard. They want to get rid of them. Or rather, change them. This is a multi-faceted strategy between school indoctrination, government power and company policy. This franchise is being re-marketed for a new generation. Look at current younger generations and you will understand exactly why. Over the next couple of years GW will most likely be stronger and better positioned than they are now. The fans will be different. Maybe not as bad as they are marketing toward now but different. They are purposefully destroying or eliminating the old guard so that the next generation of players won't have their dad's hangups on lore and his idea of a "boys club". New kids are programmed to follow the narrative. Either through schools or weak parenting. The powers that be will keep this up until they have your children marching outside of the white house with banners protesting the wost degenrate things you can think of. And they can afford it.

Years ago in college lived in a Christian community house. The churches that ran it were liberal, the people living in it were conservative. They had rules, no sex, drunkeness etc.. You know what you would expect from a christian community. Well, New 52 Wonder Woman storyline did note that male babies were born to Amazons, but they were immediately cast away, ending up in places such as Hephaestus' workshop. Though I wouldn't consider that a complete retcon of DC Amazonian lore, more along the lines of providing answers to logical questions such as "Do Amazons give birth to male babies?", and rather than saying "No... because magic", they provide an answer that still fits in with the lore. I am done with warhammer as a whole. I had 4 large armies. Orks, Adeptus Mechanicus, Imperial Knights and Custodes. I have now sold what I could and will burn the rest. I threw out all my citadel paints and accessories. All the codexes and books. I have spent thousands over the years on this hobby and will not spend another dime on their products. I feel sorry for Henry Cavill. He doesn't deserve this as any other hard core fan. They want to bend the knee to Amazon... fine.
