Timesplitters was a ton of fun. I played the 2nd and 3rd games a bunch with friends. They are very Goldeneye in level design and structure.

I remember buying Warhawk on PS3 only because it was the only semi-official Bluetooth headset/earpiece. There was no official Sony PlayStation headset in 2007. Me and my friend at the time played that game to death and would get into the game only to voice chat and mess around. I even remember playing Call of Duty 3 and having to exit the game on PS3 to even be able to message someone. No voice chat at the time. Xbox 360 was so ahead compared to PS3 but I sold my 360 to get a PS3 around launch. In the long run I feel I made the right choice as I could only afford one but I did love my 360 for the first year. Saints Row online was so much fun!

Numbered sequels are actually intimidating to most buyers. It brings up questions of do I need to have played the previous games in order to enjoy the new one. I think avoiding the number system also allows you to create the game without making it sound stupid - could you imagine, Super Mario Bros: 27 or Call of Duty 56? I think it comes to a point where the numbering becomes problematic and it's better instead to start giving the games a subtitle or theme instead.
@BrandonBreezeyVirgo6 жыл бұрын
Teyon Alexander I agree but they could just release all the old games remastered with fully multiplayer functions on Xbox one PS4 and Nintendo switch and pc a year before that way when the fourth game comes out people know what’s going on even though nothing really happens in the timesplitters 3

Favourite non-numbered sequels: The Fractured But Whole, Rise of the Tomb Raider, also fond of the various Ratchet & Clank sequels. I suddenly thought of Quake 2 and numbered sequel that wasn't a sequel to the first Quake. We're probably in a renaissance of story telling in games, single player not so much.

Hey DESTIN, I always thought the Zelda II haters must be kids too young to have played the NES or people that suck at hard games. It’s not only my favorite Zelda, but my favorite game of all time. I love the look and difficulty, the dungeons feel like a more serious fantasy than the others’ which got more and more childish and hand-holdy, and the music in Z2 is amazing. My top 10 of all time: 1) Zelda II 2) Zelda I 3) DOOM II 4) Mario 3 5) Destiny 1 6) DOOM (Original) 7) Zelda: aLttP 8) Zelda: BotW 9) Street Fighter II Turbo 10) Mega Man II

Chrono Trigger is turn based but very dinamic, compared to Final Fantasy for SNES, in my opinion. If he wants more action, maybe the Ys series. But he would have to endure some japanese weirdness that it comes with it. And if he liked KOTOR, he needs to play Dragon Age, or Mass Effect trilogy (with CT, it is my favorite experience of all time).
