Maybe IGN staff did read my comment on NVC! When he is on a podcast it’s not just taking about current events. Jared Petty has such a vast knowledge of video game history he can contextualize current events within the history of gaming. Rise of the Tomb Raider came to PS4 a year after it was released on X1 & PC. The trilogy question doesn't make much sense, nevertheless: DOOM, Hexen, Duke Nukem 3D. Weapons: Blades of Chaos (God of War), Auger (Resistance), Bogan Shotgun (Borderlands TPS). So much for retiring the hat question Mr Davis, you simply modified it. I think I heard an un-censored fuck, how strange.

Stop changing the term. “Early access games” are not called “first access games” unless you have an agenda to consider them for GOTY and the naming convention of “early access” is counter intuitive to your cause. Kinda like a “best popular movie” category at the Oscars.

I would like to hear Sam or Kacey discuss the tools & resources they use to complete strategy guides.... For example, in GTA or AC, do you crowd source where all the collectables are located? Finding each one seems like an almost impossible task for one or two people.

My favorite dragon, hands down, is the Young Red Dragon my party fought in our first D&D campaign. One of our party members died mid fight, so another member tried to drag his corpse into our 2nd Bag of Holding... along with our 1st Bag of Holding. The two bags tore open a portal into the Astral plane, which pulled in our entire party and the dragon along with us. We had to strike a bargain with the dragon since I, the druid, was the only one who could rescue us from the outer planes. I wound up betraying the dragon and sealed him away in the Astral plane. We returned to the material plane 70 years later...implying that at some point in the future, an Astral Dragon may descend from the heavens and destroy the forgotten realms as revenge for eons of forced-solitude 0.0

Also Devin, they’ve talked about this before a long time ago when Jared was employed at IGN, everyone thinks people at IGN dislikes Jared but they all love him. It’s just the chemistry and the way they play off each other that makes it seem like they don’t. I feel like the trilogy question should only have games from franchises that have 3 or more entries, so no Portal 2 or Shadow of the Colossus. My choices: Fave Dragon: Bahamut (either FF10 or FF15) (runner up - the dragon from the Mortal Kombat logo) Fave Weapons: 1: Cerebral Bore from Turok, 2: Buster Sword from FF7, 3: Ion Cannon from Command & Conquer (these were just some quick choices, not really attached to them) Custom Trilogy: 1: Valkyria Chronicles, 2: Suikoden 2, 3: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (struggled for a 3rd one, feel like I could pick something better)

Aaron Bridgens I see what you did there and Daemon can take as much vacation time as he wants, but Gamescoop is "his" (technically i believe its IGN's ) podcast. If you are going to put a first access game up for GOTY, then that game needs to be reviewed as if complete and done. No excuses about it being a first access game and glitches and bugs or things that aren't quite right.First access, early access games, etc always have a caveat attached that people make excuses for, eg. Of course its glitchy, it's first access! it will be fixed when released. If you want it qualified, then you can't use its early access status as an excuse.
