Honda S2000 exhaust bypass using a wastegate

I was confused at the start of the video... Thought you switched to a Turbo setup for a second. Never seen this done before without a turbo. Very interesting.

I have seen a few people do it on youtube. There is plenty of people who just use an exhaust bypass valve but they seem to have mixed results and that they break and cause issues etc. A wastegate should in theory be able to do this all the time without issue. So fingers crossed it will be okay

How is this setup working for you? Does it make more power? I'm contemplating doing a cutout on my stock exhaust instead of using an aftermarket 3in exhaust for my turbo setup this fall.

Based on my data logs I ran leaner after fitting the valve. Car felt abit more free to rev as well. Be wary of the electronic valves, opt for a boost operated one as they are more reliable

@@Marks-Garage noted. I'm forsure going to run the wastegate setup. I don't like he flanges, they seem to fall apart after a year with leaks. I'll make sure my tuner knows the setup so he can make the adjustments.
