I was pretty much conjoined to my G3 for 6 years. It's lovingly named "the Norwegian handcannon" in my former army-branch. I've seen them in that cut-down configuration in pictures online, and upon looking it up, it turns out that configuration (the OTs-62) is meant to be used with less-lethal 12-gauge rounds for law enforcement. Pretty neat, and fits with the recurring theme of a lot of Soviet and Russian guns.

Love the addition of the Hk21. Its a fantastic LMG design that has its history in lesser-known worldwide conflicts, and was popular for having the same controls as the G3. Given its history in the Salvadoran Civil War and Portugal in the Colonial Wars, Its not only a realistic weapon for Far Cry 6; but also Far Cry 2’s setting.
@roberttrester40303 жыл бұрын
*IM NOT SURPRISED BY THIS BUT* One thing they got wrong with the hk 21 in game model is the links. If you look the links are coming out of the weapon right side up like an M60 or most LMGs that use disintegrating links. BUT on the hk 21 platform the links face downward. On most LMGs that use those links there is a saying brass to the grass meaning keeping the links facing upward and the bass downward when loading. But the HK 21 has a slightly different feed mechanism where you would place the brass upward or towards the sky and the links downward. You can actually see this if you look at his cutaway HK21 the brass is facing upward and the links are facing downward. It's a sight mistake but as a gunsmith I couldn't miss it. LOL all these games end up having very slight problems most normally like this one that really don't matter to much.

@@roberttrester4030 I am not sure of different belt systems need to be modified to work together, but I do know that the removable belt-feed assemblies on the E models can be swapped to work with either 7.62 or 5.56 belts (turning the Hk21 into the Hk23). I've noticed Far Cry does a really good job on almost nailing the accuracy of weapons in a fictional world. They did it extremely well with this one, especially the end.

There's a cinematic in the game where a character fires a Webley obliquely toward the camera, and you can see the bullets in their chambers. As the gun fires, you then see the lip of casings in the chambers and I thought that was a nice little touch.

It’s crazy to me to see the direction the Far Cry series has gone in. Like, I remember building my first PC with my earnings from my summer job in ‘04 and the OG Far Cry came with my GeForce video card, and even though it had some zany sci-fi baddy shenanigans, it took the shooting and action fairly seriously. Oh well, gotta keep fresh, I suppose!

One thing I didn't see him comment on was the BP-2/VHS-2 is a left handed bullpup(I believe), because the ejection port is on the left side of the gun which would spew hot brass into your face if you shot it right handed.
