I bought a BRAND New Xbox series X, paid full price , and Gamestop legit tried to pull a fast one on me and tried selling me a used one for new price. When i got the console home i quickly realized it had been opened and already played and games were installed. I tried to take it back, & they said no refunds on new items that have been opened. I was furious and explained THEY SOLD ME the already opened console as new, immediately called corperate and got the situation settled, but holy shit dude gamestop is the most incompetent business ive been to.

I legit stopped selling my used games due to not getting enough to make it worth the effort. Now chain stores like Gamestop are trying to price gouge customers while also insulting them with their high prices. Thankfully I have a notable amount of games in my backlog to enjoy.

My neighbor was a store manager before it was decided to be shut down. I urged him to plead with corporate to cap resale margin at 20%. People would come to sell and buy more frequently with a tighter margin. When people stop coming, they have little reason to preorder or buy odds and ends.

Exactly why I go to my local shops like fallout and 1up games here in the valley. My local guys be holding me down. Deals on bulk used games, they'll price match if I find a better price, and they contact me if they get a hold of certain titles I'm looking for.

That's exactly where I am at with my game collecting. Basically now I just buy new/older Switch games that are still affordable & accessible. I have enough games in the backlog for a lifetime though.

As a conspiracy theorist... it's not a theory anymore... it's a fact at this point. I noticed this too many times. Another thing I noticed any time they run their deals... like the 4 for $40, type of deals... you can never find 4 games to piece together and if you go online... most of the stuff is never in stock or not available... it's why I rarely shop at gamestop... because even when they have deals... you can never take advtantage of the deal.

Got the email, went to the site, and sorted it by highest to lowest. Everything down to the $100 level was unavailable. So from that perspective, their price gouging is a moot point. It is as if they threw the email / marketing campaign out there to give the illusion of doing something. Pointless.

One crazy thing that happened to me was I bought Spider-Man Web of shadows a year ago for PS3 at gamestop. The cover art was warped from water damage and I got it for $21 CIB. I guess a year ago was a good old days. That same visit I got fairytale fights, disc only for 50 cents. I swear to God

The 1st GameStop sale they didn't change the prices I got a bunch of games from them during the 1st sale as they were all discounted on top of the buy 2 get 1 free sale. It looks as tho this deal all the prices have returned to their normal before sale prices. I don't think there's any market manipulation going on here it's just a last minute buy 2 get 1 free sale but all the other major discounts done by the actual game manufacturers have been taken away.

I paid cash 4 a game that i never received. Went back 4 a refund they tried to give me a giftcard, 30days from item received=no refund. Manager tried changing it to 30 days from purchase, she ended up paying me from her pocket after 5months calling and complaining.

Gamestop is notorious for raising the prices of their games during Buy 2 Get 1 Free. It happens on a good majority of their games that are popular. They do it to try to try and either get rid of the lower priced game that might not be so great or get money back for that 3rd game that is free.

They used to play with pricing well before this. When they first tried retro game, they did they same thing. Als, when they were actually out of stock of an ite, they have it listed at a cheaper price so when people traded a copy in they paid less so once they had a supply to sell, they jumped the price up.

You might want to start playing some Resident Evil games sometime in the near future. Especially the first few. I find it absolutely insane that you haven't played a single one yet. The RE series is the total epitome of "survival horror" in my opinion. Talk about being drawn into a story and not being able to stop until you solve the overall mystery. Especially the RE 1 remake. I would highly recommend a severe brushing up on the Resident Evil lore in your near future. If not, the only game player you're letting down is yourself. Peace out✌️

@@6808Justin I really enjoyed 4 and the village. To add in, screw Ashley. She was the reason I got stuck on a part and couldn't get past because of skill issues. She's getting taken away by some demon dudes and I have to stop em and never was able to. I took a break from it and haven't gone back. 😂 I should probably do that but I'm playing high on life at the moment. So, I'll come back to it after that.

Of some sort. Rifle got long/medium range , shotgun got up close and the shields , hand gun as a last option. Also, craft flash grenades.....very useful.

Wish I had bought Saw 2 before it ran up in price. PS3 has a great selection of horror games. There’s obviously more you don’t have but you’ve got most of the high priced ones except maybe Siren Blood Curse. Deadly premonition is another mid expensive one.

Yeah its crazy how the price hopped up recently. I attribute it to renewed interest in the franchise after 2 Remake came out, but even still that game ain't that good to command that price 😂. Last year you could get a copy for like 40 bucks.

@pwnomega4562 it's all depends on the gamestop. In my area the gamestop there has a small selection of games from ps2 upto ps3 and 360. Ds to the will u. Its growing which is great. However like my statement was before its buy 2 and get one free even if they up the price it's up to you to gain the system. Nintendo games never really goes down in price. So it's best to try to match those prices. So three 35 games equal 105 regular but with buy two get one free it's 70 that's 23.34 (rounding up) simple math
