WARNING:
Viewer discretion is advised.
In 1990, Telenet Japan released Gaiares, a tough-as-nails shooter for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Tell me what you think of the game in the comments below.
Let me know in the comments what you think of the game.
Footage is recorded using original hardware (model 1), connected to HD Retrovision component cables hooked to the RetroTINK 5X. Footage of the arcade version is recorded via the Nintendo Switch port.
Another important note:
For the Genesis version, I had to use the built-in cheats to get further into the game when recording B-roll footage. That's why in some spots, the ship is invincible.
I plan to do an episode on cheat codes and devices in the near future (after I get more cheat devices).
Furthermore, if I mispronounced the name of the main antagonist, I apologize.
