hear me out. Lego Rock Band is genuinely the best entry in the franchise. Not only did it feature good music, but it also had charachter customization, a home base you could customize, and actual progression outside of a higher difficulty. It's the most feature packed title that genre has ever seen, honestly.

In the time I've watched him I've witnessed his following increase substantially and I'm really happy for him. I've never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but he seems like a genuinely awesome guy, as do his friends who participate in his videos so I always hope the best for them all when they do so much for their audience.

A few videos ago he while he was in the process of moving and some of his stuff was at his new place (presumably) since his game room was mostly emptied out he decided to make a running gag for a few episodes that most of his game related possessions were stolen in a robbery. It was pretty clever honestly, the way he found a way to film around his moving process. It shows real dedication.

I love that he talks about how Streets Of Rage 4 was so well timed because it was long enough that people missed it, but not so long that everybody went "Roads of what?". We're seeing the reverse with a lot of franchises in general right now. Marvel's properties made a huge cultural impact when they started to go hard into Marvel Studios, and the MCU. Then they made too many movies, and it got to the point where people gave up on being excited. Constant movies, a new one every time you open the fridge, then a huge "Endgame", and now Marvel Studios is SHOCKED that their movie sales aren't doing too well. Magic The Gathering is making new products so often that people are washing out of the game. Hell, even Star Wars is starting to feel the heat on this one. It went from a revival to "Oh god, please just let me digest what you've already given me before you give me more"

Regarding Half-Life: Alyx: The version of the game that was first given to playtesters had a VERY bad story. So Valve re-hired Eric Wolpaw to rewrite the game which honestly made it much better. The best part added was probably the ending, which I don't want to spoil, but it DOES actually try to justify why it's a prequel (in-universe).

I really appreciate how much time Scott spends on Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I’ve been a die hard player since summer of 06 so I jumped on Rock Band 4 right away. I have nearly every song that I’ve ever owned for rock band available to play, dlc or disc and the PS4 version allows me to use the same instruments I’ve had since 2012. In fact, Rock Band peripherals for PS work on PS2, PS3, and PS4.

I recommend reading Jeff Keighley's interactive book - Final Hours of Half Life Alyx. They explain that they WERE actually working on HL3 but they had many issues with their new engine and they've been restarting the development countless times: rewriting story, rewriting engine etc. Also they were working on L4D3 and some new projects but all of them were canceled
