Really appreciate the comment about the value of your games. My young nephew asked me recently what my most valuable game was... My copy of Super Mario Bros. 2 on NES, which my 5'1" grandmother fought to buy me a copy for Christmas, for sure! No other copy, even of the same game, will ever be as valuable as the memory attached. Loved the video!

Well said... I have games like earthbound, chronotrigger, and other over 100 dollar games sitting on my shelf but MY copy of super mario world and ocarina of time and various other "cheap" are on display in plastic cart covers 😂. Value isn't always just monetary
@symol3087214 күн бұрын
All my most valuable games are the ones by Mum and Dad bought me as a kid. I don't keep those ones on display to protect them and have bought other copies to keep the originals safe.

part of being a gamer and a collector is about the journey we take, its not just about the games we play along the way, its also about where we play them and who we play them with.

My favorite part of this video was was that you not only that you showed what you have, but you explained why you decided on particular options, even if they needed customization or don't fit your needs 100%. Your creative solutions gave me ideas on things I can incorporate into my own streaming and production setup!

I first found you guys around 8 years ago when the first tour video was released, I was in middle school at the time and you completely blew my mind. Shortly afterwards, I checked out the rest of the channel and garnered a now deep-seeded appreciation for older games. Now I'm here once again, and I didn't know a space could be optimized this well. You guys have become responsible for so much of where my love for gaming lies, and for that I am grateful.

As somebody who only started watching the channel a few months ago (I bought a retrotink and your video was soooo helpful) I’m still learning a lot about both of you and I must say: I wasn’t expecting to agree with you so much about the rationale behind why you’ve built your setup the way you did! It’s great! We share a lot of the same habits lol it’s crazy, your setup is amazing and I hope one day mine will be as good. Looks like a super cozy relaxation cave and I want to build one of my own.

the updated tour series might be my most anticipated release on this platform, ever! i first discovered MLiG through the original setup tour video as a scrawny middle schooler, with nothing more than a gamecube connected to a hand me down lcd TV over composite. now, 6 years later, i am working on the retro console setup of my dreams. this setup is beyond amazing and i hope to have one with a fraction of the beauty, efficiency, and optimisation of yours. thank you both once again for making amazing informative content for years now, what you both have done for the retro gaming community is truly astounding!

Lovely setup tour. My stomach pangs with nostalgia at all the games, PVM's, Receivers, and more that I've sold over the last couple years while I attempted to "downsize", thinking I was going to get out of the hobby as deep as I was. Seeing videos like this makes me realize I should have kept up with it. All my RGB modded consoles, my PVM14M2U, my Denon Receiver, all those custom cables.. I digress. I appreciate the experience gained from having setup hardware just like this, but I feel I may have torn out a piece of who I was. Thanks so much for the inspiration and passion, Coury!
