I think this was the first MK game I haven't preordered since Armageddon. I usually have a rule that while Scorpion is my favorite character I will never preorder a MK game if Kitana isn't in the roster. But here we are and I chose not to preorder this time due to 1 it coming out with a price tag that was over 100 dollars for the Deluxe edition and 2 a belief that a complete edition will eventually come out and include more for less then that.

MK1 has still so many glitches. The first area of Invasions are still messed up. I can't complete the area (100%) because of the glitch. The bare offline vs mode has its fair share of glitches too not the mention those brutality weird camera angles and wrong input info in some of the characters' movelists.

MK1 isn’t the only culprit in this. SF6 from Capcom did this crap too. They did a promotional crossover with TMNT, and had Ninja Turtle themed skins for the custom avatars in the game. Unfortunately tho, each skin cost $15! It was stupid of them to price them that high! And what’s even worse is that they too went down the FOMO route and said that the skins would only be available until the end of September.

In Free toplay games the live service modell makes sense, since the game is free. But a Full price game should NEVER have microtransactions except for real DLC content meaning new chars or story expansion

When it comes to MK, I'm there since day 1 on console (there was no Arcade culture in Germany and anyway, even the censored console games of MK were banned for decades here until the franchise was rehabilitated). And it saddens me deeply that this franchise has become a shady full price gambling machine. Mortal Kombat 1 is the perfect example how fighting games (like racing games) were abused by the greedy Publishers. Will not say that Street Fighter VI is not packed with shady Microtransactions, but at least this game is letting you play without an constant Internet connection. The downfall of Mortal Kombat is in progess since Mortal Kombat X. Greedy Microtransactions are only one of many problems the games suffer from since Warner is doing demonic work here. At least they brought us one fantastic game with Mortal Kombat 9. But as of right now, people should finally land in reality: Don't waste your money on this crappy Microtransactions. Don't give Warner the advantage here in a 70 Dollar/80 Euro full price game to deliver even more of this. But I know, the people coming into this comment section aren't part of the problem so my appeal goes into a deep dark void. This is gonna be a long one, lol. The microtransactions are ridiculous, mastery rank can only net you about 4,000 krystals I believe, besides MR you can't earn krystals any other way, leveling mastery is a total pain in the butt, earning shrine koins is a pain imo, you mainly just earn one new skin in invasions (besides the pyramid mesa) while the rest are color palettes, etc. They should make it to where you can earn up to 1,000 total by completing the main Invasion Maps each season. As for the gateway, at least earn 50 or so from beating the starting levels of the seasonal tower, and as you climb up, earn up to 1,500 krystals if you can make it up that high. Instead of adding just a boatload of color palettes, tone down on the amount of palettes you can earn for a character through Invasions. To make up for this, with there being about 6 or 7 maps, add one legitimate new skin for the boss characters at the end of each map leading up to the main character of that season. I feel like that would even things out since you have to grind a crap ton for the rng shrine coins and/or waste $10 for a skin. I love playing this game, but I really wish they would make it better/change their ways... Ik they won't and also with the consumer feeding into the microtransactions, it'll just keep going on.
