I’m maybe just a little late to comment 😅 but have you heard of construct 3? It is a easy to learn no code 2D game engine which you might like 👍 plus it comes with preset projects, like a Zelda type one called demoinore which you can build your own games off of.

I'm very interested in this video, but the buffer stops at 0:38 seconds and will not load beyond this point. I've tried both my phone and my laptop and it sticks there. The rest of KZbin is doing just fine. Other videos load and play.

That’s very weird it definitely works here and for other users as I can see the average watch time and it’s over 38 seconds. I can only suggest trying via a different connection (as maybe something in your network has “cached” and incomplete copy or just waiting a day or so and trying again

Can people be allowed to rom hack the gameboy Mega man games I through V, such as make a rom hack called Start Game with Rush Coil, or add mega man x wall climbing physics? For example: Mega Man III both Spark Man/Gemini man stages being able to get the energy tank on both stages, I wish were possible, without Rush Coil.

My YY-CHR seems to be in unrecognized Japanese, and I can't find how to change the language. Did you have this problem too? Could you please help? The software is terrific and rather intuitive, but I'm trying to do some finer tuning (specifically: I'd like to change the numbers and letters used in the Tetris GameBoy game, and I can't find these anywhere in the ROM) and need to be able to read the menus... Thanks!

works the same with gbc games, if you want to translate a game to english, you will need to change every sprite to its corresponding letter, and modify the code so the sentences make sense. You should download the US/AUS versions instead.

@@diog5384 I know I'm a little late, just a little, but if you haven't heard of gb studio yet then prepare to be amazed, it has a built in MIDI sequencer, in which you can create your songs and save them as .MIDI files.

This question might be way too advanced (so just ignore it if u want) but... how would I go on to make a colorization (aka DX) hack? I guess it's NOT as simple as picking multiple colors in the palette of that tool and drawing colorful sprites, right?

quite a bit late to be asking this question, but does anyone know what to do with editing the hex values for mega man xtreme 2? it took me like 20 minutes and i could find a teensy bit of X's face, but i cant seem to put him together, and Zero is nowhere to be found, which is unfortunate seeing as I was just going to edit his sprite and move on with my life

Download the deconstruction of the version you want to hack It's going to be easy assembly. Cygwin or VS 2019/code work well on windows to edit. If you're familiar with Linux, you'll love the deconstruction because it's basically a file structure where the game references each file. I don't remember the exact path, but you'll have to find the map, routes, and "wildmons." Change the name of each pokemon to MEW and change the number to 7 to make it level 7. Then use make to compile the edited rom. You can also add masterballs to shops, change prices to 0, etc. It's pretty fun when you get into it

This video is about gameboy games not Gameboy advance (gba). You can purchase flash cartridges for gba and Gameboy if you search on eBay that allow you to save roms to sd card and play these on the real consoles

Rom hacking like I show in this video is limited to small changes like sprites or colourising a game. What you are talking about is much more advanced and usually requires disassembling the game or parts of it. That is not a trivial task and will require much learning. I have tried to modify it, for example i have deleted the event gary in Oak lab at the beginning and the pokeballs, i have tried to create a script so that, Oak goas to the usual speech ( like if you have chosen a pokemon on the original script ) and when he says "The worlds waits you" i wanted to give the player a pikachu level 5, but all i managed to do is block the player in an chat box forever with the same message which i wanted to be the first conversation box ( modified the text on Oak's line ) But the gary text box was still appearing in the game and it seemed that oak was also continuing as original script and was telling me that on table are 3 pokeballs ( which they were not cause i was deleted them ) and telling me to chose one, but i couldn't, there was nothing there, and finaly, when i was going to speak with Oak again, he was telling me my custom text, and repeating in that forever, trapping the player hahaha. so i managed to do something, but didn't worked how i had in mind :))) I still need to go small for now and make a custom npc to make it give me a pokemon and see if and how that works, before making changeings in the original script itself. As i said, i realy realy want to make a Yellow Version remake out of this Fire Red Base. I don't know how much and i don't care how much will take me, it will be a fun project, long or short term ( depending of how much it will take me to make it ) then i will make it public over the internet so the fans can enjoy a true nice remake of pokemon yellow version with better graphics and music. I have tried to make it from HS/SS , but it seems that NDS Rom Hacking is harder, i can't realy make it work for now, to hack into the game like in FireRed, with Advance Map.
