My most current console generations I own are the PlayStation 3 and the WiiU. So I'm playing a lot of both in 2022😂. When I was ready to upgrade the frickin pandemic happened and well we all see how that's still playing out with current gen consoles being available.

The Re remakes 2&3, terminator, Arkham knight, the TMNT games, Sonic mania, Castlevania collection and a few others. Otherwise I'm in no hurry. Even bought a couple games for cheap already so I'll have them when day 1.

Gotta say that Tiger Woods still gets a lot of play on my PS3. Miss that franchise. I really enjoy the racing library on the PS3 as well. Love Blur and Split Second. I also play through Brutal Legend every once and a while. Love that game.

3D Dot Game Heroes, Shatter Folklore, Motorstorm, Joe Danger 1, Wipeout HD, Infamous 1 and 2, Rayman Legends, Ratchet and Clank Tools of Destruction as well as a Crack in Time, and Flower were all great titles. I am so happy Shatter is finally being rereleased next month. Best soundtrack in the modern gaming era. PS3 is the most underrated console of all time.

PS3 is my favorite modern retro console. When I started collecting games again in 2020 right before the pandemic I chose PS3 because the games at the time were dirt cheap and I managed to get a collection of about 400 PS3 games and I s*** you not about a week after I considered myself finished collecting PS3 Sony did that store closing scare and the price of games skyrocketed. Then when they backtracked the games came down a little bit but most of them are stuck around retail price now between 40 and 70 bucks and it doesn't look like they're going down anytime soon. I also managed to grab most of the PS3 accessories like the move controller and attachment and the camera and some of the gun attachments for the light gun games. I've got a pretty badass PS3 collection thank God I got them now because they're super expensive. But great video great choices and I'm digging the sponsor. I always wondered where the heck you guys get those awesome t-shirts!

House of the Dead 4 was the ONLY reason I bought a PS3 from Ebay last year, when I found that the only way I could play it is on this console, plus I got move controllers and a 3rd party gun to slide the move controller into... WORTH IT!

If it's an issue with the HDD it's pretty easy to swap out the old one. I upgraded my PS3 HDD when my laptop died, and never had an issue. The PS3 will simply set it up for you and it's good to go. You might need to buy a carriage for the HDD but that literally costs about $5 from Amazon or Ebay.

Vanquish, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Journey, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection, the Bioshock and Mass Effect series, XCOM: Enemy Within, and Arkham City are the ones I still play the most. I've spent the last 7 years collecting PS3 games. I have around 250 now...I've played about 30 of them.

Another great video! I might sound like a broken record, but you gotta play House of the Dead 4 with the SharpShooter attachments if you haven't already. The shotgun reload mechanic is just so awesome in that game! Makes it so much more immersive! Really wish that setup got House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn (heck, even that Luigi's Mansion arcade on-rails shooter would've been cool too!)

For power the 360 is a superior console, and runs games smoother and at a higher frame rate. So if you can play it on an Xbox I'd recommend that. Also there is the issue that not all PS3's are backwards compatible with PS2 discs, so I'd highly recommend if you are in the market for a PS3 to make sure you pick up the PS3 fatboy. (an easy way to tell if you have the correct model is the PS2 BC console will have 4 usb ports on the front.)

@@GamingOffTheGrid btw, i've found so many great things on PS3 that seem underappreciated, other PS3 games I don't hear ANYONE talk about ever are Burn Zombie Burn! and its spiritual successor All Zombies Must Die! No one ever talks about them, and I love those games, if you've never played Burn Zombie Burn!, man, I just love it so much, and it's a game that doesn't get old for the same reason Zombies on C.O.D. is hard to get old. Extreme Exorcism is also pretty fun, i know you prefer multiplayer, but not only is it a 1 player, you play against ghosts of yourself. Jet Car Stunts is basically an extremely difficult driving/platformer type thing like a surreal Trackmania Turbo with the broken up tracks suspended in the sky. Ultratron is a great twinstick single-screen high score game where the only thing sucky is no 2 player :( but great for turning your brain off and playing a pure reaction-based game. I've never liked any Excite Bike/Trials type games ever until Pumped BMX+, I'm a huge fan of that game! Trying to 100% it, but it's getting difficult where I'm at, heavily momentum-based where you have to pump and dive for extra momentum, but there's no pedaling after the first start, so you need to keep your momentum through the end of the course, I'm addicted to that game, says a lot having NEVER liked those games! I will say this game got me to love the OllieOllie series, but I'm an old skateboarder kid, I love the emplimentation of the tricks I love. Pid is a great time, love the mood and atmosphere of that game so so much, but also 1 player, but do not skip on it, it's a great 2D platformer with a fun gravity projectile thing. Outland is basically Ikaruga ideas in a 2D platformer, adore that game and it's art style and vibe, great game. Mamorukun Curse! is a more shoot em up take on Pocky & Rocky. Hell Yeah! is a fun metroidvania too. I've only played a bit of Chariot by myself, but it seems like it'd be great 2 player! ibb & obb is so fun, I love love love the upside-down world mechanic to this game so so much, it feels so great, I'm sure it is 2 player, but honestly, you gotta try it 1 player, cuz you still have to be ibb and obb at the same time like Adventures of Cookie & Cream and Brothers, two other games I adore. Aaru's Awakening is great, you can get it on PS4 too. Rag Doll Kung Fu is an awesome super stylized arcade fighter, sorta like Smash a bit, dudes, play that game! It's hilarious! PLAY The Cave WITH 3 PEOPLE, IT'S SO GOOD!! Snakeball is a 4 player 3D game of the old game Snake. Vessel is a cool steampunky puzzler. Aqua Kitty DX and Astro Aqua Kitty are so fun but 1 player. I would recommend Super Stardust, but you should get it on PS4 instead if you have a VR, another great twinstick on planets. Towerfall Ascension is a huge addiction for me, I own this game on 4 different consoles digitally, then got the LRG collector's edition, the poster is on my door, it's one of my favorite games. And if you don't already have it, and love Ratchet and Clank, don't forget to get access to Quest for Booty! These are pretty much all digital only, probably why I never hear people talk about almost any of these games except when looking up random specific reviews for things I come across. Sorry for so many, but the PS3 was a treasure trove of finding a lot of things I really enjoy that just aren't talked about.

Awesome picks as always fellas. Hard Corp: Uprising and NBA Jam: On Fire Editon are two of my favorites, along with any House of the Dead of course. Weird they didn't put Contra in front of the Hard Corp game since it's a prequel to the Genesis Hard Corp. Also for any of your fans that might not have a ps3 both Hard Corp and NBA Jam are backwards compatible on Xbox, which is how I play them. Not only is Sly awesome, the ps3 has so many amazing collection discs. The Splinter Cell Trilogy, The Prince of Persia Trilogy, The Jak & Daxter Trilogy, etc. Cheers fellas!

I have to mention on the PS3 Fight Night Round 4 as well as Battlefield Bad Company 1&2. Bad Company has one the best single player storylines, it kinda reminds of those cheesy 80/90s army movies of a group of rag tag soldiers messing upwards.

As far as The Last of Us I basically included it because that was the game that truly pushed the limits of the PS3 and it was an incredible groundbreaking swansong for the PS3.

Uncharted and Killzone will never get old to me. Play the uncharted collection on ps4 though, Killzone 2 probably is most still played on ps3 game. MGS4 is close too. I also go back to resistance, infamous, dead space, and mass effect 2. I would say bioshock and the last of us as well but I play those on ps4 lol. Ps3 was the best generation imo.

I really want NBA Jam on Fire Edition but too bad it's gone. I no longer have any Xbox stuff but will look for the PS3 regular NBA Jam. NEver played Sly Cooper but will look for it. I was thinking of getting a Wii U to get shooters but the PS3 scratches that itch with HotD 3, 4, Overkill, Resident Evil Chronicles games, Time Crisis. Plenty of there. These shirts are nice, and I like that the ad wasn't too long or distracting. I'm really holding out for the GOTG branded Manscape ball trimmers... with demonstration.

Awesome list dudes! I was a 360 guy as well but I’ll be lying if I say I don’t still go back and play on the ps3 with its awesome library. Heck I still find people online in a couple of games I play and since online was free during the ps3 era I can understand why. One thing I still appreciate about the fat ps3 is the REAL physical backwards compatibility of ps2 and ps1 games where I can play the entire library of both games and not that fake backwards compatibility that they are pushing now with the current gen consoles where you really can only play physical games from the current gen (Xbox series X let’s you play some 360 and Xbox games physically but it’s a select few and you still need to install the game on the internal hardrive which is dumb and the ps5 backwards compatibility sucks). Anyways ps3 rocks!

I started with 360 myself and was part of the PS3 hatewagon for a time. Then my uncle gave me one for Christmas and now I have 60 games for it. Even been using it to play PS1 games. It's actually a damn good console that hurt by poor marketing.

@@GamingOffTheGrid If I had to choose, I think I'd have to go with PS3. It was more durable than 360 and I'm sure there are more RPGs on it than 360, though 360 does have Lost Odyssey a damn good RPG. Plus I got Platinum trophies on my PS3.

Sony dropped the ball when they didn't support PS2 discs on later consoles. The fatboy showed they could do it, and I have never had a problem playing my PS2 discs on it. Not to mention they hamstrung devs from the get go making the architecture such a pain in the arse to program on. So not only was the Xbox more developer friendly, it ran faster and smoother across the board. Up until the PS4 I owned both Sony and Microsoft consoles, but my goodwill with Sony ran out with the PS4 and I don't see myself ever being in the market for a PS again. Game pass is a far superior service, and quite frankly with Microsoft's latest acquisitions I feel they are way ahead in their ability to release the games I like to play.

My favourite on the PS3 will always be UFC Undisputed 3. Still for me, to this day the best sporting game of all time. Excellent physics and graphics. None of the EA UFC games compare to Undisputed 3. Anyone who hasn't tried it should really give it a go.

@@GamingOffTheGrid ya had it as a digital only game for years but when i found out it was available on disc a few years ago when i went on a ps move compatible hoard, i picked up to have on disc too. Fully recommend u use the dualshock/six axis though, move controls oddly enough are far less fun. Holding the controller in such an unorthodox way is crazy but feels way more like real bowling and works awesome. Have fun brotha!

Every choice made here is gold! I love all those games, Hard Corps Uprising is never talked about. HOD4!! I bought the whole PS Move setup a year ago just for this game and RE Umbrella/Darkside Chronicles. COD WAW is my favorite COD game, and I also love NFL Blitz 2012 ver and Siren Blood Curse. There's also Doom Classic collection and SF2 HD Remix as well.

I owned the ps3 for many yrs..... I originally bought it for the blu-ray DVD player.... back in the day the blu-ray dvd player and the ps3 was the same price for us old guys lol... as far as the games goes..... when I found out they were phasing out this console I was like.... well might as well experience this system ..... today I just started playing my ps3 for the past 1 yr.... I started with soul caliber, street fighter, dead or alive and the need for speed series ...... I still have plenty more to check out.... Prince of Persia, assassins creed, far cry, god of war and many more. ... I have close to 200 games I have still yet to experience.....

PS3 is one of those consoles that'll be fondly remembered for generations. Ask 100 people, get 100 different top 10s, all will be great. MotorStorm, Resistance, Last of Us, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Rain. So much to discover, so much to play. So far I've the following in my PS3 setup: * Super Stardust HD * Resogun * Choplifter HD I'll be installing Bionic Commando Rearmed soon. NBA Jam On Fire is being added to my wishlist!

I loved Split Second, it was my first platinum if I remember correctly. The Saboteur, Dante's Inferno, Puppeteer and 3 on 3 NHL Arcade were my favourites also and we still play the last two with my daughter. Puppeteer especially was such a unique game and absolutely gorgeous to look at still today.

I love the PS3. I bought a TON of games when they were practically being given away for $1-$5 when the PS4 was near the end of it's run and the PS5 had been announced. So there's still a crapton of games that others may have played a million times that I'm just getting to in 2022. Some of them I've played recently for Spooky season are Alice Madness Returns, Splatterhouse (the 2010 remake) and Bayonetta 1 for the 100th time. Next on my list to get to is Shadows Of The Damned. And then I've only got a stack of games as tall as I am left to play after that that I have yet to get to. PS3!

Got to be honest, I sort of noped out on the PS series. The whole thing just got too much for me. I don't think I've ever played or seen one IRL. Learning is one thing, I just got overwhelmed. I still play DOA5 on PS3 since its free to play and more people still play it than the PS4 version and it has lower input lag than newer versions. PS3 is still great.

Strangely enough Metal Gear Solid 4, to this day, is still a PS3 exclusive. No ports, remakes, or remasters for any other console. It truly showcased the power of the PlayStation 3 console back in the day and was the reason I picked it up in the first place.

I was a late comer to the series despite the fact that I read about it constantly in gaming publications back when they existed like "Gamepro" and "Electronic Gaming Monthly". Needless to say, I didn't have a damn clue as to ANYTHING that was being explained while playing. This game was made solely for the fans knowledgeable to the story lore and wanting to see the finale to the tale of Solid Snake. Loved playing it and enjoyed the experience, but I had no idea what was happening.

Just starting the video, so before I hear your picks so I'm not influenced I'm gonna throw down mine. Don't have a 360 anymore so I concede most multiplats play better there, but not an option. Skate 3. Red Dead Redemption. Metal Gear Solid 4 Demon Souls Ico/Shadow of the colossus 2 pack. My PS2 disk tray doesn't work, so I would use this verison. Infamous 2 Last of Us (I don't have ps4 version or remake) Street Fighter 4 Little Big Planet 3. 3D dot game heroes. Not all are my favourite from the generation, but the ones that are (Uncharted, Batman Arkham series, Deus Ex) I got on PC or PS4, so I would play them there.
