I think its important to explain to those who don't know why they made the decision to kill off Scooter in a side game. Scooters' voice actor Mikey Neumann was a writer/producer for all Borderlands games and various other side projects. However he started facing possibly terminal medical issues during the early stages of Borderlands 3s writing and eventually decided to leave Gearbox and Borderlands to focus on getting better. Before he left Gearbox however he was involved in the making of Tales and decided that it was better for the iconic charcter Scooter to have a proper send off instead of possibly getting written out without closure if Mikey were to pass. So it was decided that Scooter would catch his final ride in episode 4. Mikey is still alive and working on other projects outside of Gearbox but has stated that he cant do the Scooter voice anymore due to his illness.

I'm admittedly sad you went the route that just blows past Athena and Janey's reveal in Hollow Springs, if only because it has some of the BEST bits in the second chapter, with Athena having to play dumb in front of Janey due to her insisting that she's retired from Vault Hunting, to the point where it's possible for Fiona to steal Athena's Shield when you leave. Adjusts the sequence in Chapter 3 as well, as Athena has to break into the car in order to get her shield back first, and ties in nicely with the reveal that Athena's ENTIRELY just saving money up so that she can pay for her wedding with Janey.

You complimenting all the foreshadowing with Loader Bot being the Stranger is funny because the writers of 1-3 had no idea who the stranger was and it was only written to be Loader Bot in 5. So yes, him saying "wait Loader Bots cant do that" was a total coincidence. It shows to why this game being so good is a miracle.

Loader boat being the stranger is definitely one of the best reveals that we've ever gotten,there's a lot of expectations and it actually lives up to the hype. The fact that they didn't plan that from the beginning and they manage to make everything come full circle is even more impressive

fun fact!! In the Pre-Sequel, theres a side quest with Professor Nakayama where you sorta help/see him make the AI Jack prototype! I forget the exact details but Nakayama was so obsessed with Jack that he wanted to keep his memory alive forever so to speak. So AI Jack has all of normal Jack's memories up until the 2nd game. So he still believes Angel is alive, until he goes through Hyperion's database and finds out shes dead :(

This was the first game I platinumed (which isn't anything to brag about) and what got me into Borderlands. The game was awesome and Loader Bot is one of my favorite characters in the series

when we got introduced to the BL3 Vault hunters with just the images of them, i honestly though Fl4k was gonna be Loaderbot having become a vault hunter by choice was a little disappointed when i found out he was an age old libary bot who decided to become a hunter

God i miss these style of games. Just sitting back and watching a play through of this, walking dead, batman telltale and wolf among us was just an experience i can't even describe. Good times. Loved the plot twists of these games too!

38:38 worth mentioning here, Jack mentions that Angel betrayed him, even though the conversation you have over her photo earlier suggests Jack doesn't know about what happened in BL2. You get the choice to press him on that, and he mentions that he only found out about what happened once he uploaded himself into Helios and had access to the Helios database. Such a fascinating detail that's so easily missed... and maybe one of the most gut-wrenching parts of this scene if you go down this dialogue path. Again, the absolute passion this crew was working with...

This honestly is the best Telltale game to me. Before trying it, i would have picked The Walking Dead Season 1 or The Wolf Among us, but after playing Tales From The Borderlands, which is the very last Telltale game i played, it's for sure my number 1. I'm not sure if it's the perfect mix of humor and seriousness, or something else that clicked for me, but it did. Can't even understand how this game fell short of other peoples expectations.

By the gameplay functions Loader Bot actually uses the nasty surprise. The grenades attack multiple targets. Honestly, easily missed because the grenades use the same model.

Mordecai is actually using the Trespasser from the animal rights side quest in the base game of bl2. He wouldn't have the Amigo Sincero since thats given to him by brick in the Commander Lilith DLC which takes place after the fall of Helios. Its an understandable mixup though because the Amigo Sincero is just the Trespasser but instead of rare its legendary and it has much better damage and fire rate. They both share the same gimmick of ingoring shields and just damaging the healthbar, which makes them useful for certain bosses.

I've been greatly looking forward to this video ever since you teased it in the BL2 video. Tales is not only my favorite Borderlands game (And mind you, I love the FPS games), it's one of my favorite games of all time, and my favorite TTG game. All the music choices are so good, the characters are amazingly well written, and it makes me even more bitter at BL3 for ruining Rhys and Vaughn each time I watch a video on it.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I just want to say, that Tales from the Borderlands is my favourite game of all time, so I really hope that people who haven't played it yet, give it a chance. And the people who played it and liked it and want to play more... Then do not touch the Garbage that New Tales is. It's better to ignore it's existence. Instead I recommend played other peak games from Telltale, like The wolf among us, The Batman and many others.
