I have both the Quest 3 and the PSVR2. I think that the Quest 3 is the better option if you're big on mixed reality, or if you just want a massive library of hundreds of games to choose from, so you'll never be bored. However, the graphics difference between the Quest 3 and the PSVR2 is night and day, as the PSVR2 has OLED and is running on the PS5. Also, the PS5 exclusive VR games are in my opinion much better than the Quest 3 exclusives. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of Batman, but most people will tell you it's a great game, so I'd still get it especially if you're an Arkham fan. But the PSVR2 has the resident evils, eye tracking, Gran Turismo, and headset vibration. It also has triggers that can adjust the pressure of how hard you press down based on the game. Both headsets practically require you to buy a comfort strap if you use them often, but I would say that, if you want higher quality VR gaming, go with the PSVR2.

@eggsbenedict8321Ай бұрын
@ZFCaio which games are you referring to? The Quest technically has a higher resolution than the PSVR2, but it is almost never able to use it without a PC connected. Because the PSVR2 utilizes the PS5, the games are able to look way better than games on quest, such as Metro Awakening and Arizona Sunshine.
@eggsbenedict8321Ай бұрын
@4play49 I agree, it's nice that you can access the Internet and like watch movies and stuff on the Quest, but I feel like VR is mainly used to game, which is why I like the PSVR2 better. I'm not saying I don't use my Quest 3 though, I love it too, I just like the PSVR2 better.
@paranoidparanoid6090Ай бұрын
thankfully we have the choice. I think meta is better for the vr industry than sony honestly. In terms of hardware quest is something that can really be used all day long with the wide range of use cases, even on the plane you can take your headset and just enjoy it wherever you go untethered, for the quality games quest also has resident evil 4, Assassin's creed, Asgard's wrath i think all these games are nice actually. If you want to up the level you can even play PCVR wirelessly. IMO Quest is the best headset for most people, especially for the entry price. I think PSVR 2 compares to PCVR headsets, Quest is kinda it's own thing.

I want to let everyone know of a great hack I have been using since week one. I bought a non adjustable facial interface. Chop off the bottom half from the bottom of the headset arms. It massively increases pass through usability and still gives you support. You have all the padding on your forehead and nothing from your eyes down. You end up with full perioral vision and it blends in with the lenses. It does not take away from games because how we see, but i always know where I'm at in my room. This massively increased its usability for work.

I have both the Quest 3 and the PSVR2. I think its simple to decide once you know what you want. The PSVR2 is the better option for the most immersive solo campaigns, and it's not particularly close. The extra field of view, the ability to see true blacks (real darkness), advanced haptics, headset haptics, better audio, eye tracking, etc, just make it feel so much more real. This is why developers usually use the PSVR2 to showcase their games. If you need mobility, mixed reality, or desire social aspects in VR, the Quest 3 is the best option for you. Both are great for different purposes. For me, I care more about solo immersive gaming, so I personally like the PSVR2 more.

@abeerik5591 I don't own one, and I've never used one. I think there are multiple HTC headsets, but im looking at the Focus 3. Looking at the specs, while it's still a good device, I can't see a reason for getting it over the Quest 3 or the PSVR2. All of the advantages it offers can be found in one or the other much less expensive headsets.

@Gamingwithmatteo311 Nothing is perfect, and I'm not saying the PSVR2 is. But I'm comparing it to the Quest 3. The blacks are obviously much better than the Quest 3 on the PSVR2, I dont think you disagree with that. The Quest 3 can not simulate darkness anywhere close to the PSVR2. Also strange you commented this on mine, as your most liked comment that you loved says the same thing. The PSVR2 is better for solo gaming and includes colors of OLED and headset vibration as specific reasons. Im also curious why you think the developers consistently choose to display their AAA games on the PSVR2

An audio solution that I would recommend, although as they're earbuds, Matteo won't like them, but the Soundcore VR P10 are a good option for use with the Quest 3. They can be used either as Bluetooth, or as USB wireless with USB-C passthrough on the transceiver, so you can still use your battery strap with them. The USB wireless is best for the Quest because Bluetooth still has latency issues making it kinda useless for gaming. That being said, they're not cheap. Well, they're not *normally* cheap. They're normally about $100, but right now they're on sale for $60 for Black Friday.

If you want good earbuds for VR I highly recommend Soundcore VR P10. They rely on a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle rather than Bluetooth, which means VERY low latency (although it comes with Bluetooth as well which allows you to simultaneously connect to your phone). Sound quality is decent (not amazing) but they're not terribly expensive either. It's been awhile since I bought mine, so there may be some other 2.4 GHz earbud brands by now that work better with the Quest 3, since the VR P10's advertise limited functionality with the Quest 3 (full functionality with Quest 2 though). I have a Rift S, so I plug the dongle into my PC rather than the headset, and they work perfectly. From the official description: "The VR P10 is fully compatible with Meta Quest 2 but has limited functionality with Quest 3, lacking support for Touch controls and Pass-Through." I'm not sure what you would need touch controls for regarding the earbuds tbh.

With the BOBOVR strap if you get a couple batteries with it. You literally have unlimited power. The KIWI strap will eventually run out and it’ll need to sit on the charger. The BOBOVR strap is objectively better.
@Gamingwithmatteo311Ай бұрын
Yeah but it charges super fast, its cheaper and more comfortable
@DoinkReactsАй бұрын
@ I can see it probably being more comfortable. How much battery would you say you get average out of a session with the KIWI fully charged vs just one battery fully charged for the BOBO? Which one would last longer? Cause for the BOBO, you’re right it is more expensive, and it’d be even more expensive to buy the extra batteries to be able to have the unlimited power than if you to just buy the KIWI strap by itself.
@Gamingwithmatteo311Ай бұрын
@DoinkReacts i get around 4 hours give or take
@DoinkReactsАй бұрын
@ That’s definitely not bad, most people are only gonna wanna be in a headset for around that amount of time anyway before they get too tired, sweaty or the pressure from the headset becomes too much. I think for the more experienced hardcore VR players the BOBO is definitely better, especially if they’re not on a budget, but the KIWI is better for the VR players who are on more of a budget and who for the most part have more trouble keeping the headset on for long periods of time, and if it’s more comfortable it’d probably be a better option for newer VR players as well. I think they both have ups and downs, but I think the BOBO has more highs than the KIWI. I’ve used quite a few KIWI products and they definitely make the experience better, I like to use their controller grips that strap around the hands, as well as their face pad. Those and the BOBOVR strap were the setup I had for my Quest 2 and now my Quest 3.

@Gamingwithmatteo311Ай бұрын
@GTNover that's not 1st party. To give you a console example, image no, halo, God of war, horizon, astro, Mario, zelda etc. Arizona is a 3rd party game, the budget is much lower than batman arkham shadow, horizon call of the mountain or asgards wrath 2

Most first party games are not sold exclusively to the company's parent company. For example, Reality Labs makes Beat Saber. So to Meta, Beat Saber is first party, but to Sony Beat Saber is 3rd party. But just because Beat Saber was made by a 1st party company to Meta, and its a 3rd party game to PSVR2, doesn't make it a worse game on th3 PSVR2. @ZFCaio have you played both? The visuals on Horizon are 10 times better, and the boss fights are too. Also, Arkham is the 2nd best exclusive for Quest, so it shouldnt be compared to the 4th or 5th best for PSVR2. Compare it to RE Village.
