Well explained, spot on matey thank you. Now to go shoot some targets, with a bit more chance of hitting the middle than last week 😁

Thanks man! I use the Jack Pyke studs they come in a pack with the shorter front one and longer rear one.. Amazon I think they came from but most are pretty much the same 👍

Hi mate can you put a weaver picatinny on the side of the moulding as well as underneath? I want to stick an additional IR torch on mine offset to the side. I can’t put in on top as it will interfere with my PARD IR torch??
@TVCvids693 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I did on my Phox, just make sure where you fix it to has a thick enough part of the stock and your screws don't poke through and rub against the air cylinder 👍

Hi. I have just bought a Gamo Phox and I feel the cocking action is a bit tight. The lever moves freely right up until it actually clicks in at the end of the movement it is a bit of a struggle. Is this normal or is there something wrong with mine
@archonaut89203 жыл бұрын
I found this initially, but it loosened up after use and is now smooth.
@TVCvids693 жыл бұрын
Apologies for the late late late reply but as Jonathan has said they're tight to start with but soon loosen up with use. I'm guessing it may be fine by now 👍🤣

I have a Gamo phox in kit form so comes with the stirrup pump. The rifle is about 100 bar and when I try pump the air into the rifle it only seems to be pressurising the hose of the pump and no air getting into the rifle. The connector is pushed in fully into the rifle. The gauge on the rifle and pump differ. Don’t want to force it but defiantly no air getting into the rifle. Any ideas?
@TVCvids69 Жыл бұрын
Hiya, Try cocking the rifle and then pumping up, make sure the pump is going all the way down. And always go by the guage on the rifle. Best of luck 👍

@@TVCvids69 thanks for the reply I have already tried cocking/unlocking but still the same. I was hoping somebody else has had the same problem with a solution.

@A Millett Silly question but is the valve closed on the pump? Could also try the blanking plug in the end of the pump hose and pump it a little to test its going up that way..
@amillett6863 Жыл бұрын
@@TVCvids69 thanks for the reply Mark. The rifle is about 18 months old and brought with the pump and both have had very little use. I only purchased to despatch rats in the garden and only used the pump maybe 3 times and then stored away for 9 months. Got it out to use Ann wanted to top pressure up from 100 bar as I know it’s hard to do so when low. No air leaking from inlet valve or anywhere else and bleed valve is closed & pump is full of pressurised air when I open bleed valve again to remove from rifle. It seems only the hose of the pump is pressurising.

This might be a stupid question, but if I'm fitting a bipod to my new Phox do I need to fit the stud near the stock if I've got no plans to use a sling? Great video, really helpful to a complete novice but I was confused as to why I'd need the rear stud for just a bipod?
@TVCvids693 жыл бұрын
Hiya, So yeah you're right no rear stud is needed unless you plan on using a sling. That was my cockup should have mentioned that really 🤣 Cheers and all the best👍 -Pete

@@TVCvids69 thanks for clearing that up, as I said it's a great video, a lot more professional than all the others I've seen! Just out of interest, will this method fit most bipods on the market? I'm looking at a Deben or Bisley at the moment
@TVCvids693 жыл бұрын
Any "Harris" style bipod will fit to a stud. ""Atlas" ones only fit to a picatinny rail. 👍

When fitting a bipod find the centre weight and balance before,fitting nothing worse,than a bipod fitted in the wrong place !
@TVCvids692 жыл бұрын
Agreed, luckily for most mere mortals the Phox synthetic stock has the stud mounting point marked on the inside which shows you exactly where the front stud should go and it is also reinforced inside. 👍

Having used one for over 3 years firing over 30k pellets both on targets and hunting my experience and that of 3 friends who own them would have to disagree. Can address each of your points when I have time but thanks for commenting 👍
@TVCvids692 жыл бұрын
Firstly without a mod yes they are very loud, like rimfire loud. The standard mod makes them very quiet plenty good enough for hunting from 10 yards up to around 40 which is what I did with mine. Not sure what O rings you're on about... As for power they are set around mid 9's from the box but any dealer I've spoken to will happily tweak them up a little if purchased new and even at that power they're laser accurate and good enough for clean kills when ratting. Mine took a couple of minutes to set at 11.5ft lbs with the pellet that gave the highest reading over a chrono out of 30 types without affecting the factory anti tamper or warranty with my dealer.. Just our experiences with them over the years, reliable accurate and consistent. Never had an issue with mags between 4 of us using up to 4 mags each sometimes firing 200 pellets EACH a night when plinking.
