My dogs HATE that loud 'snip' noise. They jump on each and every clip..and I have to make ALOT of them because I'm so paranoid I take very little off at a time Wish they made them quieter. But, after years of trying to figure out what the quick looks like and how to avoid it.....you've finally explained it and they're nails are getting MUCH shorter !!! I can barely hear them walk on the wood floor. YAY !!!

Great review! Nail clipping is something that is so important and yet so tricky.. and i really want to do better with my dogs. I have one dog that tolerates nail clipping like that beautiful dog you were working on. My other dog, she has a black coat.. she fights it every time, she's normally a sweet dog.. but turns in to a Tasmanian Devil when i try to trim hers nails..& i have to take her to the Vet. I watched your other video too about how to trim and found that Very helpful~Thanks for the informative videos about Dog grooming~~~:)

you can use a ruberbande to hold them close i have tried different kinds i have grabed the cats not on purpes to do the dogs my wife usually does his and im so use to using the cats for rabbits

Good idea with the rubber band, but I would expect the lock to actually work. And when groomers are doing 600 to 100 nails in a week, we don't have time to mess with a rubber band, but good idea for pet owners who buy a clipper that doesn't lock all the way. If the dog is small enough, the cat nail trimmer will work just fine

Cut one toenail just a little too short and it wont matter what you use to cut them. its a battle from then on.
