Being someone who was suicidal in the past man it's so fucking cool to see what you've turned those feelings into. And to anybody struggling fight on for yourself and those you care about. Big ups from some guy vibing in Washington 😘✌
@greymase4 жыл бұрын
I met Dave (and Joji) at their show at Mercury Lounge in NYC. I approached him, despite not being THAT kind of guy. I had to tell him, "Your art has improved my time on Earth, and I have been struggling for months with my first true heartache at 50....and this kept me sane." I wasn't suicidal - but mostly because I have a kid. Dave was SO nice and embraced me, tore up his shirt and showed me the related tattoo, and told me that's what it was about and he related. These guys are all FOR REAL. Max, Donnie, Joon. They are SUCH nice guys. And I cannot speak for them, but I want you to know, their response would not be that you are "just some guy in Washington". Stick with it. No permanent solutions to temporary problems. Hit me up if it feels like it would help. Big empathetic hug.

This band, I discovered them right after I was heavily suicidal two years ago. Listening to their music through the first year of college, allowed me to heal and process emotions that were still spent up from my mental health journey. I am applying for my masters degree, I have over 20 tabs open, books all over my desk, 3 sources to study from and writing my thesis and statement at the same time. My mind is trying to grasp the fear of the future, leaving everything, the "what if's" the regret and reality of trying to stay in the moment to study all this. Somehow I came to this video (I saw their cover of middle east blood and just had to look into them) I am so awestruck by this. For 5 minutes, I listened to this beautiful tune and his powerful voice, I just stared at this very lovable guy doing his goofy dancing that for some reason seemed to have a more profound meaning like masking some really deep sadness and anger (which I guess is the message of the song). For 5 minutes I just put this in fullscreen and just stared at my screen and quite simply started thinking of the beauty in life, I forgot everything and at the same time seemed to see everything as well, it was fucking beautiful I love this!!!!! Any other recommendations from this band? I have just discovered them and i am already a big fan of David Leaupepe :O [i know this is a rly pretentious comment and it's like chill, but i'm in a really deep place rn lol] Greetings from Palestine, have a great day all :)
