This to me is real hip hop. This is Gang Starr's finest. R.I.P. Guru, a.k.a. Keith Edward Elam. Too soon at 48 years old. July 17, 1961---April 19, 2010.

H.T.E by gangstarr is still to this day the best hip hop material I've ever heard. Just pure talent from one of raps greatest duos. There isn't a soloist or group out there in 2015 that comes close to what guru and premo accomplished. With much respect to KRS 1 ,Kane and Rakim . they made hip hop what it is today r.i .p guru!!!!

memories with this one, Premier at his peak, 94-96 was his peak years, beats was dope, crazy!!!!!

I can get with this although some of his best beats were post '96 i.e. Nas Is Like. But during this period he had the most consistency - this album and The Sun Rises In The East are probably his most fully composed productions and they both dropped in '94. And my ATF Premo beat Supa Star came out in '95.
