2:06 Guru looks back like "yo Preme fix that shit" and Premier improvises, by cutting the beat off and bringing it back to the top....that's Hip Hop, using your brain to get you out of trouble!!!!

because young casual hiphop fans listen to thrash mumble rap nowadays, legends like gangstarr paved the way for future rap artists only to see it turn into this pussycunt music they call hiphop nowadays

In the sense thatyou'd be witnessing gangstarrs work as it happened, but although the ratio of real clever meaningful hip-hop to sellout soulless, lowest-common-denominator, commercial, corporate label marketing department-controlled shit was better than it is today, that is mainly down to the scene being still less diluted and more underground than today, people were't smarter or more descerning back then, just soft-rock and the nu-wave hangover were the mainstream back then, average man...

I reckon backin 93 the commercial reward/financial incentive to do live shows abroad was a lot lower than today, where it is the main money maker for 'rappers' compared to record sales. Thats why only acts like Gang Starr and Public Enemy did so, it was about seeing and interecting with the world, instead of the narrow mined 'anywhere but my street corner dont concern me' attitude less cerebral rappers had. Anyone who can recomend some modern artists who would appeal to a GS fan, please do reply

Clearly, and I am very certain where to look for it, but the vast majority of current Hip-Hop performances excludes vinyls all together, Hip-Hop is not to blame, rather technology.

is in good supply today, just requires a bit more work to find. But then we have the internet and instant access, so prob easier on the whole. (and while i used Springsteen as an example of shit, and his music output is, I have to say the mans politics and principles are spot on, he donated a lot to the striking miners over here in england during thatcher's reich, and my uncle said his kids wouldnt have eaten most nights if not for bruce) But fuck though, seeing primo and guru in the flesh, :-D

other than ea prez and immortal technique (to a degree) I cant think of any. Tribe were amaing but q-tip lost the edge, also Nas never got anywhere near maintaining the quality of Illmatic, eve consiering i rate it in top 5 albums ever (of all genres) he should still be making stuff in the same ballpark. Please reply with recomendations, more frsh and undiscovered the better, i love buying stuff by artists who actually need the money. Peace Gang Starr fans,

Premier fucks it up all the time. Let the talented rapper finish the lines half of the time and help him the other half cause he wouldn't be able to breath if you don't do it. But if you interrup every single line screaming like if you were puking out you fuck the whole perfomance up. Stay in where you are good at, which is DJ-ing, more than in the rapping. Don't try to do it 50/50 so you can "shine" in a concert as well as GURU.
