😂😂 I know of this story and both characters very well. Freddy was family for many years and only passed recently. He was probably 20 yrs older than gaff and was very close to shaw. I loved that man dearly, a kinder soul I’ve not met in my years in Essex. I could never get how he was friends with Shaw. !! He was a doorman for many years and also a publican. Gaffer is a funny guy and game but not the full shilling. It was at one of my venues ( jaks in Basildon) he had the row with Bernard. It’s on KZbin He kept asking to work for me there but that could never happen with badging and the fact he’s balubas

@@enquirer2.0 Yes, that was the festival leisure park in Basildon or ‘BAS VEGAS’ as it was affectionately known. My largest contract with over thirty doormen. I got all the doors in Basildon after Tony died. I had my own jail cell there 😎 coolest shit ever until they realised the madness of it.

i read a book about John Rollinson many years ago with the story in it , you mentioned about him challenging that door-man and many others....If my memory serves me correctly he was brought up in North london around the tottenham area where he attended the football games as a casual also(Besides That) i didnt know much about the guy apart from what he had written in his book...As always enjoyed the video mate, i wish yourself, family and everyone a merry xmas..🎅🙌🙌

I spoke to John a couple of months back he is alive and well and as Funny as ever ... He lived just up the road from Billy Blundell who was one of his closest friends and who he worked with ... Gaffer had a contract out on him from the Hells Angels and his flat was bristling with CCTV cameras they tried several times to unalive him 😱🙈🙈 I went to Glastonbury once with him the last big one before the Super fence when 250k people were there We had x5 days of absolute Madness I could write a book just on that ... I first met him when we drove into the car park of the Bull Pub in Pitsea I was with Paul T the brother in Law of Murdered Car dealer John Marshall who sold Kenny Noye the Stolen / Rung Green Landrover that he was driving when he stabbed Steven Cameron on the M25 Paul Suddenly accelerated at a large group of people and several of them went flying as We made contact He said it's My Pal Gaffer ! He had Offered Out the entire Pub as it turned out 🤣 fearless and insane after Loads of Chemicals and sleep deprivation the Memories of his Child hood in Homes Made him Who he became Kate Krays Series Britains Hardest Men fest erupted him and as he told her about it you can see her loosing it We ran Doors in Essex together then 😎 We both lept out and there was Gaffer in his Pork Pie hat throwing lefts and rights We waded straight in and the x20 odd fellas bolted ( those that could.. ) I have known him ever since 🤣 I have some photos of him somewhere with Carlton Leech / Nigel Farage Billy Blundell etc I got his son a trial at the Ministry of Sound as he drove Me mad to get him one Bizarrely he ended up being a resident Dj there for over 20 years he was amazing his daughter show jumps. He gave Me a copy of that book in the early 90's it's quite or very rare I have only ever seen photos of the Cover since then 😉😎
