Heard the Gap Band playing in Stuttgart (Germany) in the 90s. What should I say? It was one of the best concerts I‘ve ever been to. I have seen them all: Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & the Gang, James Brown, The Commodores, Trouble Funk, Kurtis Blow,, Al Jarreau (my first concert in 1981!), The Cool Notes, Whitney Houston, Public Enemy, Soul II Soul, Boo-Yaa TRIBE, Imagination, Shakatak, etc. It was an outstanding time. Whis these days back!

Man these are the cats!! Listen to Brotha Robert on that Bass. Always flippin' it. Sometimes just subtle like on the first hook at 1:08 through 1:25. Or what about at 6:45 .....love that stuff up in there. That little walk thing....dope! Charlie's vox always on point and just always has fun with it! Don't sleep on Ronnie's voice either. @FOOTENOTE I can believe that! My friend (The late Ricky Strickland of Memphis,TN.) had the pleasure of performing with these cats and he told me that they were really down to earth. He also added that the young one (talking about Robert) was the most enegetic bass player he'd ever witnessed and he never missed a note.
