Try to get back down the strip with the same setup and experiment with tyre pressures, different amounts of aggression on the launch etc. If you can improve your launch etc BEFORE just adding power it will make you a better drag racer in the long term.

Awesome video. So many cool cars. You must have had one of the biggest stands. You’ve got Esther dialed in, it looks like. I’d do some heads up against you, with my 2004 Honda Goldwing GL1800 motorcycle. We do almost identical times. We’d just be seeing who cut the best light. I usually run high mid 13’s at right around 100 mph.

Certainly hooks well! Good trap speed too. How are you doing the burnout, left foot brake or line lock?
@marcushayesford3 ай бұрын
Yeh it felt like it was bogging all day mate. Im so paranoid about spinning off the launch. I don't have a line lock. I use my right foot on the brake and the throttle, and I do my burnout in 2nd gear. 👍
@djgoode3 ай бұрын
@@marcushayesford rear brakes are cheap enough lol.
@DubSe7en3 ай бұрын
Does the me221 have a launch control? Guessing you wind the bias off the rear too? Be good see a quick vid on the burnout technique, I assume it's like a heel/toe thing you're doing. I've always done left foot brake but it means the car lurches forward a bit during the transition, where yours stayed put. Good work, I only managed a 12.2 in my c63, but I didn't burnout as my tyres were already borderline lol, so my 60ft was terrible, but had the power to make it up in the back half.
@marcushayesford3 ай бұрын
The ME221 does have launch control but I never get round to setting it up. The left foot brake is better for controlling rolling burnouts etc BUT I don't like the lurching forward. Also when you need to STOP the burnout theres a risk of it lurching forward again. I don't touch the bias. The front brakes always bite first so if you press the pedal the perfect amount, the rear brakes won't prevent the rear wheels spinning. Im sure they will be touching slightly but its about finding the right balance with trial and error. Those C63s are awesome cars! 👍
