With plastic repairs you can weld it back together using a soldering iron. If you need a filler then find the exact same type of plastic and melt it in (ie nylon with nylon, polypropylene with polypropylene, abs with abs)

Hi Marcus just a idea when you have been for a good blast when you get back take the spark plugs out if they are a bit black could be running a bit rich , check to see if the coolant sensor is ok,all the best with her sounds bloody good on full chat cheers

@adrianlivesey4375Күн бұрын
the reason why the fuel pump makes a different noise is because the alternator will be sending slightly less voltage so the engine slows, if you have a decent pressure regulator your injectors will see the same pressure, basically the slow down in the pump is not the problem causing the misfire

It does seem to only occur when the engine is hot to be honest. 👍

Might be worth having the injectors tested for there flow rate. Have you got any spare injectors that you could throw in to see if it makes any difference. Maybe check the ITB’s for air leaks. Maybe the gasket is letting in air when it’s warm. Try nipping up the inlet bolts. Would the Ecu not show what’s going on when you hook it up to the lap top???
@marcushayesford23 сағат бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion mate! 👍 I do have a spare set of refurbed injectors, I'll chuck those in and see if there's any change. I actually have another issue with the fuel system now, so I'll just park her up for a bit, gather the parts and gon through it all in one video. 👍

A friend had a Morris Minor with an intermittent fault he started keeping a log of events it happen at all difrent times but more when fuel was low and uphill, he blew out fuel lines to no avail,then ran car from a petrol can which worked wonders clean tank revealed a piece of plastic that moved around and persumed keeps blocking fuel pick up pipe. There may be a larger lump in tank of what was in filter.

Thank you Marcus and Cat a great weekend of car shows. In New Zealand the car at 14.07m we call a Ford Consul 315. Commonly known as Ford Consul Capri in Great Britain was available from 1961 until 1964. The engine size is 1315cc an up great to the 1000cc Ford Anglia engine using the same engine mounts and gearbox. This engine was updated to the 1500cc block which was fitted to the MK1 and early MK2 Cortina's. The 1500cc was a good swap for the 105E Prefect 2dr/ Anglia 4dr but it would fit the 100E with a gearbox change and some work to the firewall of the 100E.
