As a DA owner and driver for 20 years, I must say thats possibly the coolest DA build in a very long time.

I'm a bit torn on that, this build has gone through many stages and variations. The 6 piston caliper, 11.5" rotor brake setup makes most of the popular wheels harder to find in appropriate specs (even the 16x7+38 RPF1's needed a spacer to clear the calipers) because the Spoon Livery is a temporary thing ( it's just a vinyl wrap if you missed that part) it's hard to justify a $2000+ set of wheels just to "complete the look." That being said I have a set of sw388's however they are 5x114.3. A 5 lug conversion may be in store for the future, but I enjoy the car as-is for now.

I love DA's so much. I had a chance to own and drive one for about 5 years and I loved every minute of it before I sold it to fund another project. Still kinda regret getting rid of it but yeah. Was a 92 GS with a B16A2 swap from a 99 EM1. Loved the interior and dash design of the DAs, and the engine bay gave you a lot of room to work in.

@humbleperformance5 жыл бұрын
If you think a 3/8 electric impact set to 10lbs to zip down bolts is ruining the torque spec of bolts torqued to over 70ftlbs, I don’t know what to tell you. You can spend 100x the amount of time time spinning down a bolt with a wrench or some 1 second each bolt bottoming it out and starting your torque sequence. You saw the bolts getting started and double checking the torque after a torque sequence.

K24 would’ve been way more reliable that Jackson racing heat soaks
@ricebrnr225 жыл бұрын
Many of the parts on this car are from a time before k-swaps were even a thing. It's closer to an "era-specific" build then an attempt at power, also if you didn't hear in the video, I installed a water meth injection kit to address the heat soak. Also "reliable" is relative, the GSR motor in my car is stamped "1993" on the head so...
