Very well shot and informative review Specky. Thanks for taking the time to be part of the products development and testing. Like you, we are delighted with the end result. Applying any tenacious product in high temperatures and humidity is challenging. Very good technique employed here. 👍🏻

I end up cleaning my fathers 4x4 but all I get is WHAT'S THAT? WHATS THAT DO ? and loads of other questions as he sits in a chair watching with a cuppa. If only I could keep him from using the scratch n shine washes he tends to use often as well. This looks impressive though, I've put Fusso and later some wax on his jeep but this would do just as well or better it seems. Much quicker to apply than a Fusso though and yes Martin the wife has gone to bed and I'm sitting with a glass of tango and some biscuits as promised

I assume, because it had been decontaminated relatively recently, that swirling wasn't an issue when you were claying? I use the same G3 mitt and I know how effective it us without being too aggressive, just curious as I've only used it when I'm about to machine polish. The big merc looks amazing though (be even nicer when you dress those tyres 😋)... Good job - to you AND Garage Therapy 👍🏼👍🏼

I haven't been too bothered about swirling, that's for a future polishing video. I was really happy with the look of the car and I look forward to seeing how it looks when wet and how easy it is to clean.

Really good video Specky. The gloss levels on the merc are seriously good. Quick question mate: As the product is so easy to use (relatively speaking) would there be any advantage in layering it? Obviously this might involve keeping it in a garage for the necessary curing time? I realise you don't have a big enough garage but do you have any information on applying more than one coat?
@GarageTherapyOfficial4 жыл бұрын
There is benefit to layer yes. To get full 5 months (we have seen more) you will need two coats. You can do one coat and top up with Sigma, that will also give you 5 months +.

Hello, am i right in saying a polish, then wax followed by this sealant is the correct way to apply finishing products post wash and dry?
@SpeckyMcSporran Жыл бұрын
It depends on the products you're using. Usually after the polish you'll want to add the longest lasting protection (usually sealants last longer than wax) then you can top it (personal preference) with a wax for depth of shine and gloss.

Hi Specky. Will be applying GT /Three CS soon. I don't have IPA at this time. What was your own concoction made of? Also any recommendations for IPA if you don't want to give it away?
@SpeckyMcSporran4 жыл бұрын
It's a recipe that Jon at Forensic Detailing made up, you'll find it on his channel. You don't have to use that, you can mix 20% IPA into distilled water or buy a panel wipe product.

Using the clay mit with the Zero shampoo, what a great idea. But doesn’t it need polishing after claying?
@SpeckyMcSporran4 жыл бұрын
Technically yes, it's best practice to polish after claying.
@ghostinthemachine764 жыл бұрын
Specky McSporran So why didn’t you then, especially on a black car? 🤷🏻♂️😉
@SpeckyMcSporran4 жыл бұрын
Time constraints.
@ghostinthemachine764 жыл бұрын
Specky McSporran Yeah I thought that. Did it actually need a polish?
@SpeckyMcSporran4 жыл бұрын
It had been clayed not too long ago so it was relatively free from contaminants. Plus the nice lubrication from the shampoo and the large surface of the clay mitt means there wasn't much damage inflicted to the paint. Honestly I didn't think it needed a polish although it is best practice.
@richardleonard74794 жыл бұрын
Hi mate can you tell me how to mix my own panel wipe thanks

@@SpeckyMcSporran but as you were not going to polish before application, was the clay really a necessary step (considering the multiple chemical decon already used) before applying the sealant?
@SpeckyMcSporran4 жыл бұрын
I did it to be sure that the paint had nothing left that may possibly interfere with the application process. The chemical decontamination won't remove everything so I'm just being doubly sure.
