I never heard you talk about the tuning on this car. Just wanted to let you know those upgraded turbos need a custom tune. it will never run as well as it could with just a ots map. Just heads up for you or anyone else. Absolutely love this car, makes me want the same build.

Thank you! Yes this has a Kassel remote tune big we plan to have it synod again to perhaps make upwards of 500hp since the bolt ons can handle it

what to do the best solution in swaping n54b3o in e30 ? the n54b30 have automatic gear box and i dont know if i replace this gearbox by manual one of n52b30 it will work good? and what about the ABS OF THE N54B30 AND HOW CAN I MAKE it WORK IN THE E30 AND IS THIS ABS IMPORTANT FOR THE CAR TO GO NORMAL OR I CAN DRIVE WITHOUT IT?

Hey, I am working my way through the series now - but I figured id ask since you reply to comments: have you ever gotten the car on the scales & seen the F/R L/R weight splits? I am in the process of convincing my friend with a 325e to swap a spare N54 I have into it (+ a 6-speed sequential Quaife N54 trans I found online hehe), but I am hesitant to go all-in until I know if the final weight is manageable for a 90% track / 10% street car.

Very interesting question Von. Unfortunately, we did not put the car on scales so we don’t quite know the weight distribution. While I don’t have track experience with e30 n54, I can say with 100% certainty that my customer with the e36 n54 has tracked his build many times and is VERY satisfied. But I know there are many factors at play with a good handling swapped car, not solely weight distribution. Hope that helps. Appreciate you watching. F

@@Garageaholic thanks for the ultra quick reply my dude! I will do some rough calculations & see if I can ball park the weight increase, but I think we will just send it regardless - taking out the AC & heater assembly will hopefully tip the scales back in our favor anyway (no pun intended). We are almost certainly going to use a swap harness adapter from condor, but even then I can safely assume that we will end up needing to get in contact with you through your site when we find ourselves in the home stretch. Thank you for being the scholar & all-around legend that you are, btw. We would probably write this swap off as a pipe-dream if it wasn't for all your hard-work & documentation laying the groundwork for all of us to follow :)

That is so awesome to hear! As far as weight distribution in my own personal experience, my e30 s62 is a bit front heavy and not as nimble as I’d like it to be. But overall it’s a blast to drive on the track and very unique to share with others at the track! Let me know and I would love to provide you some decals for your car!

Looks slow to me compared to my e30 m50. Looking at the rev counter and speedo i conclude its slow.for the others too on net its same, i dont know if its the FD or just something not right with this n54 swap into e30, i dont see how this would fare against the car n54 was created for,however they sound great though.

Si tu le revend fait moi signe je vend un terrain la pour me payer un e30 325 328 330 i turbo c est un terrain pres de Disney land et la bha chaque année le prix augmente la il vos 80 mil euro d après ma notaire mais même à 50 je le laisse y a tout à faire decu il et construissible mais le gaz et l eau c est pas fait
