Not as shoddy as some of that foreign junk people love so much. Hyundai engines were failing under 30k just to name one. Nissan had the same issue for a while Toyota's were killing people for a while. Funny how people tolerate that from foreign car makers.

Exactly this..they will try to make it political though and bail them out, the public needs to make sure we make it very clear that is not acceptable and would be a poor career choice voting for an auto bailout in ‘25, ‘26 or whenever it happens.

There was no shift in what people want. Stellantis stopped producing what people want when they stopped manufacturing the Hemi V8. Then they went all in on EVs, which less than 2% of the US population are interested in. On top of all that, they overpriced all of their vehicles by 30 to 40 thousand dollars. This is a perfect storm of stupidity by a European company about the US market.
@ALDOOLD
@ALDOOLD 2 күн бұрын
It looks like the executives of Stellantis never understood what the american market is very different of the other markets, and never took care of the expectations of american customers, they probably thought that they Can offer the same low quality véhicules they do especially on the european market!

The 392 Hemi is still available in the Jeep Wranglers. It was supposed to be a special one-year model, but they keep extending it from the '23 model year, to the '24, and now '25. People love it, but it is expensive, as well as being a fuel hog.

The root cause of their sales tanking is because they jacked their prices up rediculously high after 2019. I'm sure a big part of their justification was to offset the loosing move to EV's.

ridiculous greedy prices along with highly suspect engineering of products that anyone with brain understand is going to break Just a matter of when not IF>>> Add to this that Stellantis is a EU based company that really could care less what they sell into the US market. The worst decision the CEO of Stellantis made is to take away the buyers choice of engines. They force buyers into buying the 6 cylinder TT without giving them a choice. They should have kept the 5.7 & 6.4 on the option list for the 1500 & 2500 series. Not too mention, most buyers can't afford a 100k+ truck. FCOL I was looking at a 2024 regular cab 1500 tradesman 4x4 with the 5.7 and the dealer wanted 56k for it!

Keys to success for Stellantis ( sarcastic) 1. Lower quality 2. Put Fiat stuff and badge it as Jeep 3. Put Fiat diesels in Ram 4. Inflate your prices to gouging level 5. Overproduce , have 300 days supply in the pipeline 6. Abandon your pirates aka dealers 7. Fail to fix things like oiling problems in the hemi, electrical issues and weak transmissions To summarize Poor engineering. Poor build quality. Bad dealers. Overproduce. Over priced. Treat your customers poorly..... Wow you have really screwed the pooch 🐶 🐕

You folks that are in the business of manufacturing and sales fully understand the problems are over paid management over priced cheaply built vehicles that seem to be pledged with a multitude of serious problems. The recall is discussing plus a shortage of parts to fix the issues that should have never left the manufacturers. The ridiculous amount of internal problems in many of the manufacturers. Next the manufacturer builds vehicles that nobody wants to be stuck with for 3-4 years of high interest and again over priced junk. We the buyers are fed up with your childish games. You can keep your crap vehicles and all the problems that seem to be built in them on purpose.

How about? Fire that CEO and demand that money back. Because he did just the opposite of his job. Committing corporate sabotage. Forcing the workers to overbuild vehicles and not dropping the prices. And cutting jobs having those components added onto others over cycling the jobs forcing through the vehicles sabotaging quality and eliminating quality inspection jobs. Taking away quality bonuses thereby giving no incentive to the workers to even care about quality. And completely cutting overtime to the workers who actually buy the products that they cannot afford to buy what they build now. He made it quantity over quality. Which is death to any product. It's simple. 1 Drop the prices. 2 . CEOs take a pay cut for once. Trust me they can afford it.. 3 Stop asking the workers to sacrifice and embrace poverty "Sergio" when it's all they ever do while busting their asses. And not get paid back. 4 make quality before quantity. 5 bring back WCM.

With a Window Sticker Price of $59K, I was able to get it for around $50K. With just 1500 miles on it, it's now sitting at the dealer waiting for a new replacement transmission. One of the synchro's failed. At the moment, they haven't a clue of just when that will happen, but I've got a free loaner in the meantime. No one in the right mind would buy anything under Stellantis brand. These vehicles are almost like vehicles produced by Marxist Communist Eastern European Countries belonged to the Soviet Union before 1989 (Berlin walls). Americans don’t buy automobiles made by Socialist countries. Western Europe is heading to become Socialist progressive democrats if they not have already are. Unlike Capitalism workers take pride in quality and receive rewards financially in return. Socialist workers perform their job because they have to and whether they put their souls into or they don’t care about quality, the pay is the same and stagnant. Capitalist assembly worker can buy a brand new state-of-the-art automobile with 6 months of wages. Communist Socialist assembly worker needs 12-15 years of wages to buy a bare bone Econobox subcompact little tiny tin box on wheels. That’s the difference between CAPITALISM and SOCIALISM

I drove my neighbor's new RAM with the Hurricane in-line six turbo, and it is a powerhouse. The interior is magnificent and quieter than their 2023 Lexus RX350. I did not see one thing to complain about regarding build quality, and paint.

Chrysler has got to be the most jerked over company in history. It got sold to the Krauts who just took what they wanted from it and then sold it to the Wops who used it to sell their Fiat junk, who sold it to Stelantis which is what....exactly? Sad considering Chrysler is one of the most inovative companys out there. As for price, every single automaker is overpricing their vehicles.

This is what happens when you run your cash cow company from overseas. While Sergio ran the company from Auburn Hills, Carlos tries to run it from France and not letting the U.S. division run itself from the U.S. Our vehicle lineup is very disconnected from the industry especially with the V8 engines. While Ford and GM just recently introduced new V8 engines we over a overpowered 6 cylinder to replace ours.... horrible move. Carlos has gotta go and now!!

Start with firing the CEO, I think they are already positioned to spin off the Ram truck brand to at least a semi independent company. The fed has already lowered a key interest rate a half a point and signaling that further reductions may happen soon. That will help in a number of areas. Possibly look at Chapter 11 bankruptcy, in order to renegotiate the union contracts. Although consumers need relief in other areas, when you go to the grocery store and spend $50 on a small bag of stuff, and that's at Walmart. Even with insurance, prescription drugs can seriously set you back. It just doesn't leave much disposable income. I looked at cars, saw the prices of the new ones, shook my head and said I don't think so, and bought a used one, that I could pay cash for.

I'll run the place. The problem is JUNK! Components are not dependable. Need to boot engineering and subcontractors in the ass. We have a 2016 Cherokee and it's a problem child. Fn junk. Body control module, transmission modules, wtf is with that ZF....never again. The pentastar engine.. Ffs get a grip...oil cooler, junk radiator,...if you can't build a fn machine you won't sell them. Now, did you learn something here. No one gives a fiddlers fk about the shareholders...look after the product, look after the customer, do it right and the rest takes care of itself.

Sales have cratered because prices on new vehicles have become ri-goddamned-diculous. 60k for a mid level XLT trim at 8.9%? GFYS. It’s the same or worse at Dodge and Chevy, and buyers are done. It’s going to take a huge “employee pricing” sale a la 2005 to clear dealer lots, and that’s all there is to it.

Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler all have a reputation for unreliability and poor service response. They need to reduce the numbers of models. Use the same engines and drive trains. We had a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the mid 80's..............we loved that car! A real 4WD with power and reliability! Dodge and Chrysler should do a deal with Musk and place tesla hybrids in their cars, and make the rest of them the body and suspension world class. Ram also make great larger utes / trucks. They need an alliance with other manufacturers which should include efficient Engines, hybrids and perhaps hydrogen from Toyota? They obviously do not currently have the dollars to reinvest in new engines so in 2024 you must make a deal with those that have. An alliance with Tesla, Toyota, Mazda etc. Perhaps Ford which has similar issues could produce cars from a similar production line. They should be thinking out of the box for survival. No more sh$t quality cars.

The higher Stellantis prices their vehicles, the fewer they'll sell! That's just the way it works. Too much expensive technology that's unnecessary and which few people want or need. It's not brain surgery, so why can't overpaid executives figure it out? A Jeep Wrangler for $51,000 (after all the unneeded add-on's and other costs) is absolutely insane! Good-bye Stellantis, you really did this to yourself!

This is all self inflicted. It takes a special kind of stupid to do what Stellantis has done to itself. They jacked up the MSRPs 30%, and wonder why their vehicles aren't selling. The modern crop of small displacement turbo engines are junk. They're trying to pull a six horse wagon with one horse on steroids and wonder why the engines have problems. No bailouts for the automakers.

I rarely even drive anymore, and I wonder if I'm the only one. I can get almost anything I need delivered to my door by Amazon, and usually the next day. As far as new car sales go, they've just become too damned expensive and complicated, with computers controlling everything, and the electrical systems are a nightmare. A quick example: I have a 2015 Ford Transit with only 26K miles on it. Rodents got under the hood, made a nest, and chewed up the wiring going to the knock sensors. You have to take the top half of the engine off to replace them. The cost? $3,000! It ran fine without them, but they caused the check engine light to come on, so I couldn't get it smogged, which meant I couldn't get it registered. That's not the end of it though. Once I got it fixed, I _still_ couldn't get it smogged because the ECU has to "test" everything, and that takes a lot of driving... over 200 miles so far, and it's _still_ not saying I can get the smog test yet. This, IMO, is one of the reasons people don't want to spend over sixty grand for a new car, and then untold thousands more, just to keep it running. The smartest, most practical thing people can do is rediscover older, well-maintained classics. Plus, most of us older shadetree mechanics have no problem keeping them running.

You can’t sell of JEEP to a European company and expect to maintain the American Style and what was the perfect engine for all JEEPs, the Straight 6 - 4.0L engine. Especially after the French company bought out JEEP they completely destroyed what made a JEEP a JEEP with useless electronics and smaller engines model after model. I had the 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sahara and it was absolutely perfect. With easy to replace parts and simple engine design then a German Company took over and sales sli then ma French company took over and took everything that is JEEP and made it for some 16 year old rich girl that the parents just buy her whatever as long as they never bothers them….

Eliminating classic, Hemi, 3L Diesel V6 was really stupid. New Hurricane is fine but should have offered as an option. I purchased my 2022 Laramie, black addition, equipment level 3 equipment group in the middle of the pandemic. They claimed they did not have the chips for some option, but the problem is they did not build the vehicle that you could add the chip when it became available. For example I really like lane change assist specially being 75. My truck has 7000 mile if I need to add the option I would need to add sensors, change mirrors, wiring and other stuff. They are all parts that were available to build it with option of adding a chip later. I consider this penny pinching not caring for the customer that dishes out 70k for a truck.

With the Jeeps, they're going all electric when it comes to windows, locks, and seats. More failure points instead simply manual ones. The more bells and whistles you add, not only do the costs go up, but so do the added failure points. Then next year they intend to replace the 3.6L V6 w/their new Hurricane I6 engine. There's sure to be issues w/it, it's almost a 100% guarantee.

Why are companies suicidal??? Wokeness, overpriced/overoptioned/unreliable/etc. But upper management of these companies are laughing all the way to the bank. But even with their failures and dismissal, they still don't care as their golden parachutes carry the day. What could possibly go wrong???

As an Executive in Retail Automotive Dealerships and as a District Sales Manager at the Manufactures level for over forty years, I feel thier pain. These Sellantis people are of the old school , hiring fresh College Grads to work with thier Dealer network. Instead they need to hire people who have actually supported thier familys by selling Cars in a Retail Setting.. Put them into the Retail Dealerships to actually help the Dealership personnel to move the Inventory out the Front Door instead of only being concerned about loading up the dealer with Inventory through the back Door. Remember the Manufacture gets paid as soon as the Vehicles enter Dealer Inventory. Not when the Vehicle is Retailed. Get Back to basics! Get Back to ideas that have worked in the past. Go with Expirience instead of Woke Leadership.

They don’t offer any incentives as in rebates or interest rates.they need to back to the basics build a work truck without all the extra electronics that a lot of the dealerships mechanics don’t know how to fix.The grand wagoner $120,000 comes equipped with 360 surround cameras with night vision, no one needs this kind of crap and who can afford this.

They've raised the prices of all their vehicles and no one can afford to hardly purchase them new. You have to lease one and even those prices are nuts. I've been saying for the last 10 years they have out priced what's left of the middle class budgets. I do see tons of new Jeeps on the road but not many Dodge or Chrysler vehicles. I just purchased a used 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and felt I paid too much for used. I'm paying almost twice what I paid for my last used vehicle purchase. Bring the prices down and consumers will return.

With the state of these cars and trucks 70,000 to 130,000 for a truck and a grand wagoner are you kidding and let's face it they don't have the best track record for service .Yesterday there was a report that a police 6 of the dodge patrol vehicles were out of service because of Engine problems and dodge wouldn't do anything for them So apparently they don't want to stand behind their products And you expect folks to spend what money they have and financing the rest for a turd I was thinking could this be a way for stellantis to bankrupt Chrysler and Jeep brands and bring in there European models That way they would have to build factories they already would have a dealer network in place all they would have to do is ship every thing here and build them here to get around the tariffs and taxes it's just a thought the reason they have already said something about opening a plant in Mexico and just the other day they were talking about shipping the dodge rampage to Canada because of Labor cost
