The impact tool accessory is an in-line oiler. Most impacts and other air tools should be oiled regularly anyway.

Great job on the old Mustang Chris, if you kept going with all that body filler you would end up stripping the entire rear quarter (and the door) as you would be constantly chasing the rust, just goes to show that just because it looks good doesn't mean it is under all that paint and filler👌looking forward to the next one👍John UK

I think with this customer in this situation. I would've done that patch with panel bond instead of welding. Plus panel bond won't rust. Welding causes heat that can make the metal more prone to rust. You did good prevention with the wax and rust converter. But I think panel bond would've worked better for me. Plus I would use fiberglass filler on any bare metal for a moisture blocker since there's already evidence of rust and prior repairs

Please can you explain what is mid coat, sealer coat and tri-coat. And what is the difference and when should I spray them and why. Please I'm a beginner and I really love you Chanel.

Midcoat and tri coat all have to do with a 3 stage finish. It's a base coat a mid coat and the clear is the third coat. Some say a tri coat is sealer base and midcoat. Sealer is applied after primer and before base. Check out some more of my video's on these topics brother.

Yes flux core works great, the only issue is the thin body metal.

When the body filler cracks like that moisture gets under the bondo. It starts to get surface rust.

Absolutely it will, and you must remove all rust under the filler. So if there's a separation between the filler and the metal than the filler needs to be removed. This also had rust on the underside of the quarter panel.

I think you affected a great repair for this car. Overall condition of the car would suggest it is not a daily driver!? and unlikely to be used in wet weather. if that is the case this repair should last a number of years before deteriorating. I'm not familiar with these cars but find it odd that the lower swage line does not carry across from the front fender to the door! is that factory?

i am going to spray high build primer on my truck soon...how long can i leave it in the primer stage before painting ? can primer get rained on ? no garage all outside work

I know the customer didnt want it but those repairs wont hold forever if rust keeps lingering under the paint. On the other hand maybe fix it quick now and save up some money to address it correct afterwards. Nice job!
