The concrete plinth should have been wider as when it rains and the bins are heavy you are going to wheel them over wet grass. A bin shed with doors would have been nicer and you could put plant pots on top to make it more attractive.

Where I live, your garbage cans can't be visible from the road. To block them a small fence seemed right. For one post hole we would need a contractor to get a permit. We ended up getting some shrubs that would block them and look nice.

It’s beautiful, but I’ve seen something like it where the fence was higher and they had also made it to hide the trash view from the house with another fence facing home. But I guess as long as the neighbors don’t see your cans it’s ok.

Cute video! I'd still like to know how the person would have built it if it hadn't been "vetoed". And for the person who has taken out to the curb this gathering of people's trash bins every week for 8.5 years down the driveway about 50' with recycling every other week also, with various levels of broken then "repaired" cement, i question the use of bricks. But it looks nice, from the road.

I find that if someone is saying what they want done, but they are not willingly participating in physically working to achieve it, they will resent any and all delay in receiving their immediate gratification. They will hold it against those doing things for them and act as if they are looking down on the workers. This is not true of all people. For those who it is true, they often make a habit of it.
