I can't believe that I've worked my way through 230(!!) of your videos (along with a few of the newer ones that got me started)...and it must have been over 200 videos ago when you made me laugh when you called a bed frame a "Pinch-o-Matic 5000"...and you finally said it again in this video!! :-) I've never been addicted to a KZbin channel before, but here I am. At 69 years of age, an old dog CAN learn new tricks. And...I've also been noticing that you've been adding subscribers by the hundreds. Your work ethic and honesty are carrying the day.

My hubby was a licensed Freeon guy when he was an appliance tech for 23 yrs. Ask the local appliance repair places if they can make a deal if they keep the Freeon and you get more money at the scrapyard... Freeon is very expensive and if they can get it for free...ya never know. Also, when we lived in CA, we had several recycle yards and even fancy stores that either took donations or purchased materials for resale. The fancy stores would buy the claw-foot tubs and restore them and also cut 2 and make a double-sized one with oak railing for $$$ and restore light fixtures and most anything that was antique or vintage... The not fancy places were stocking huge amounts of doors, windows, bathroom fixtures/ tubs, toilets and sinks and most anything else they could sell. It was great! Still own an office chair I got for $5 there over 20 yrs ago!

I bet the yards don't supervise you because they see some of your videos. I too open microwaves and remove the glass plates, but I doubt most people are like that; the yards see that kind of honesty and keep their eye on the other guys. I always like that you shake off snow and remove any non metal items where possible, and you always clean up when picking through trash, never leaving it worse than when you showed up. Evidence of trying to live the golden rule.

About the scrap yard not supervising you, it’s kind of like when you are in school and it doesn’t take teachers very long to figure out the good kids from the bad. It always makes me sad to see the trashed clothing and shoes. I can guarantee you that there is a shelter or clothing ministry close by that it could have been donated to. From having worked for one, I can tell you that by the middle of winter, they are out of supplies and needing to re-stock. It was so good to see you and your daughter gathering all those clothes and shoes that you found, ofcourse they were clean and not like the random stuff you find. I was surprised to see you sorting everything! That really is going the extra mile. You should see what some folks bring to ministries. 🤦♀️. A big 👍🏻 for you and your daughter. 😊

Refrigerant Recovery Machines start at $81 on Ebay and go up to $800 with most in the $250-$350 range. You need a tank to put it in also and all the hoses. You should have grabbed the plywood and lumber. Save it up and build yourself a new storage shed to replace the rotten one. Build it big enough and you can stop paying rent on your storage unit.
@MrGWN76 жыл бұрын
Yes he could maybe just sell it? That's what most recovery places do. Some places you need a licence to use one of those machines. It's a weekend course to get one. I have a friend that has one so I know a little about the topic. As to a building permit to replace a existing structure most places don't require a building permit unless the structure has a foundation. IE it is permanent. A shed generally doesn't qualify. You have a nice day. :)
