Garbage is great, but I highly recommend you check out the band Garbage basically stole and copied their sound from- Curve - more of a duo than a band- sexy female singer and male beatsmsmith/guitar player. The microphone in the video was designed and built by my friend Bob Heil, of Heil Sound. The only equipment exhibitor in the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame. The microphone, which is a stage prop in the video is the Heil "Fin". Phantom power can be applied to it to light the LED's. He also built the first large diaphragm "Talk Box" given as a gift to Peter Frampton's girlfriend and made famous by Peter on his Live Album.Google him and you will see his credit for the many firsts in Rock and Roll. He helped put "The Who" on the map in the late 60's and 70's. I emailed him last night about seeing the microphone and he told me Butch Vig the drummer and producer was introduced to him years back through his best friend "Joe Walsh". He also commented that Shirley Manson is one strong vocalist. He should know as his list of females in his career from a sound standpoint include, Dolly Parton and today's Carrie Underwood. The list is just to long to bore you with here.

I'm guessing that he was playing a personally modded out red Fender Telecaster. But that's just a guess. Both Duke and Steve were shown playing multiple guitars. I've been a fan of Garbage since I was 12, when Version 2.0 was released. I had lost track of them during the past few years - I didn't even know that there was a recent album. I can't even begin to put into words how much my mind was just completely blown right now - by the fact that they are just as good as back then, and that real music like this actually still exists. Also, Shirley hasn't aged a day, which is insane.
