I've seen dumpster divers "put it out in the universe" their needs and they have many times been blessed with whatever the hoped for. So I'm going to put it out in the universe that Renee @ Paper and Moose would really appreciate finding a huge black back full of nice clean vintage tee shirts. Okay, I've done my bit. Maybe it will help if you reiterate the same request? Good luck! I loved the "mustard & relish" shirt. The measuring tool is a square, I think. Adjustable. Not sure what they're exactly called but my dad use to use one when he worked on construction.

The corduroy coats.. Might shrink, and if they have rayon or silk lining in sleeves, that might disintegrate if you wash them, but biggest issue would be those leather buttons. If you decide to take a chance on gentle or hand wash...take the buttons off.... Great bag!!! Loved those hats yesterday!!!

Cool finds once again. I had a suggestion on the dry clean and other jackets. If you can put each one on a sturdy hanger, button and zip all pockets and closures. Hang them outside before the dew falls. Spray with fabric refresher and leave them out for a few days.(weather permitting) Something about the dew pulls the nasty smell out. Hope this helps.

Hope it's a bag full of cute ceramic moose or frogs [LOL]! Those cord jackets were popular in the 60's and early70's...I had one. I always had it dry cleaned. That yellow square design shirt looks like my kitchen table cloth. With my 5"-7' stature, most of those shirts would probably come down to my knees! Hey Renée 😃 Try at Home Dry Cleaning Sheets by Dryel or Woolite in your clothes dryer. They work fantastically. You can put several items in one load. Walmart, Walgreens & Target have them or check out Your Grocery laundry isle. They cost around $8-$10. Seriously saves money. My 21 year old Son just had his Leather Motorcycle Jacket dry cleaned and it cost $45 🤑 Those are expensive jackets you found. The men's shirts remind me of My Bonus Italian New York & Florida Family Members 😆 I picture the man as You do with a Cigar also Curly thick chest hair & thick gold chain with a cross, and aviator sun glasses 🤣😂🤣😂 Have a fantastic weekend Sweetie,. Big hugs from Texas 🤗

What fun looking at what you pull out of those bags! I loved the pink shirt as I would wear that over a tank - so cute. So that you know, I've tried washing lined jackets and I had to throw them away. Usually the lining will shrink more than the corduroy which is made from cotton. Maybe a nice steam or spray and brush and then letting in hang out of the sun would help. Actually I would try an alcohol spray with a clothes brush which might clean better and kill the mold. Spray test on the inside material (not the lining) just to make sure. I've used alcohol on upholstery that water would ruin and it worked very well.
@SouthpawPatty3 жыл бұрын
You can wash the corduroy jackets. Just don't wash them in hot water and don't dry them in the dryer, unless you use only the air setting with no heat. I would use Woolite and the gentle setting in the washing machine to wash them. I would also put a cup of vinegar in the wash with them. It will get rid of any odors.

You could try hand-washing some of these in Woolite, and drying them flat. The chief problem is usually irregular shrinking, distorting the shape of the garment. The vintage clothing buyers who don't haggle are probably making a lot of money from the clothes you sell them - maybe you should raise prices? The tool is an adjustable T-square.

Find a dry cleaners that dry cleans in bulk. It is cheaper and you can get them all done at the same time, if it is more than you want to spend donate them and let them deal with it..I used to have my drapes dry cleaned in bulk and believe me it was a while lot cheaper and since I worked there part time the owner would give us 10 pounds a week and I would save them up and use them all at once. Just as good as professional.
